What the story of Creation means to me...
Woman was created from Adams rib.... what does that really mean?
To me it says that women should be a "partner"... not someone that is behind a man, being led... or in front of a man, leading ... but safely tucked under his arm, at his side, as his partner in life.
A woman is an equal in all respects, her position under his arm (where the rib came from) does not subjugate her, she provides companionship, love, support and lift him spiritually and emotionally from this position.
A man (with a woman under his arm) does not control or dominate, but is in a position to provide companionship, love, comfort, shelter, security and warmth. And he has someone to lean on when he is in need.
So for all the Adam's and Eve's looking for each other... be good to each other and good luck. |
