The Bike

Ubove is our 2006 Heritage Softail Classic, the way it was the day I picked it out at the dealer.
The story
I have been riding Sportsters since my first one back in 1980, which was 1975 1000cc XLCH. I have owned a total of 3 Sportsters. During that time I had one 1200 Big twin, and just never warmed up to it. So I sold it and later bought another Sportster. Back in August of 2005 we went to Germany to spend three weeks with my wife's family. As a part of that trip we rented a 2005 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic, a bike just like the one above. We enjoyed the bike so much that in July of 2006 we traded our 2001 Sportster in on a new Heritage, in fact the one you see here. And so begins a new chapter in our riding lives.
In the beginning ( July. 2006 )
This is a FLSTCI with :
95" Stage two kit * SE 6 Speed trans * Nostalgia Speedo/Tach combo * Passenger Floorboards

Since the pictures above we have added a Mustang seat, a luggage rack, & the chrome strip between the dash and seat.
Each year my wife (& my Mother) use my Birthday , Oct. 11, as an excuse to get me a few things from my wish list. This year I received some Ride to Live covers, & a new windshield bag. See all of that in the pictures below.
In January of 2007, I added a set of Vance & Hines Staggered Big Shots. Then using the SE Race Tuner, had the bike remapped using a Dyno.
Producing around 82 Hp & 89 Ft Lbs of tq.

In Feb. of 2007 we had the bike painted, in pearl black and candy flames.
