On this page you will find some pictures of my Mustang Touring seats. I will always go to factory parts first when looking to customize my scoot, but in this case I had to go with the Mustang because the difference is just so obvious. I made a 1128 mile trip over the Memorial day week end of 2003, this was up 'till then, the most comfortable trip I had ever made on any kind of motorcycle. In the past after 200 to 300 miles my upper back just ached, not so with this seat. Anyone looking for a comfortable seat THIS IS IT !!!!! In the summer of 2006 I traded my Sporty on a 2006 Heritage Softail Classic, and now I have a Mustang for that bike. It to is a great seat.

The seat on the right is the Mustang,
the seat on the Left is the H.D.

I hope these pictures help you if you are concerned about the size of the Mustang on a Sportster. These pictures are of my 2001 Hugger with a Mustang Wide Regal Touring seat ( Pt #75128 ). The front saddle is 15.5" & the rear is 12.5" I will add that I am glad that I have a Hugger, because with the added width of this seat if this was a taller bike I would have a tough time getting my feet flat on the ground at a stop.

Update, Jan. 2004 : We ( My wife and I ) have now made several trips On this bike with the Mustang seat, from our home in Northern California to the Los Angeles area, both of which were over 1,100 miles each round trip. I am even more sold on this seat. We would not trade it for any other seat!! Since the photos on this page were taken I have changed to larger saddle bags, which work real well with the width of this seat. There are pictures of the bike as it is now with the new saddle bags at the bottom of the " Sportster page ". ENJOY ! ! !

Update, March 2007: Late last year we traded our Sportster on a 2006 Heritage Softail Classic, and like the Sportster had to change the seat. My wife could not even ride for an hour on the stock seat before her butt got sore. So we now have a Mustang on the FL.

Here is a picture of our Heritage with the Mustang seat.
