This is a trip I have been dreaming about since as far back as I can remember. My wife became interested in this kind of trip after we traded our Sportster for a Heritage & she rode on it for a couple of week long trips. This was a really great trip all the way accross the country to Florida. Even though we did get caught in a downpoor in New Orleans. The day we left Disney we got a call from home that my Mother was in the Hospital, and I need to get home soon. So My wife "moved into" the Hampton in Jacksonville Fl. and I flew home for a few days to help out. Then I flew back to Jacksonville to get my wife and the bike. We cancled all our remaining reservations and planed our return trip on a day by day basis.
Some of the things that we did as part of the trip are: Stop in Las Vegas (stop 4 on the list below) and renew our wedding vows at a Las Vegas theme wedding chapel. As you would guess it was a Harley wedding. I actually rode MY Harley in the front door of the chapel. {December 10th, 2007 was our 25th wedding anniversary & we wanted to celebrate by renewing our vows.} As well as see New Orleans, Disneyworld, and visit with family & friends along the route( while I did get to visit my Uncle, we had to skip seeing my son in St. Louis & and a friend in Raleigh).
