In
the Present Day
The performers’ costumes are not as elaborated as in the past. The dresses are old, dirty and not sumptuous. Two of third troupes performed without such the important props as the flags of war or the jade belt. There was transformation, because the Chinese opera today does not have enought budgets. And, the performers were happy to dress simply.
