Over the years, my class has participated in learning activities with classes near and far away. Memories of extending our classroom learning experiences to these extracurricular learning opportunities is something the students and I will treasure always. When we look back, some of the following memories will be held close in our hearts!

This is a Flat Stanley visiting our classroom!

FLAT STANLEY's VISIT

On the left is my team teacher, Jenny, holding Stanley. I am on the right with Stanley and holding the book that started it all.

Flat Stanley is climbing on our Chicka, Chicka, Boom,Boom Tree!

Flat Stanley is not the only one who visited our classroom . . . on the 100th day of school, ZERO the HERO came with his red bag! We were surprised to see him in person as he had always just come and left his red bag with his puppet, a treat and an estimation jar in it. He even posed for a picture with all of us!

This is the red bag and puppet that Zero Hero left for us every ten days. It also held a treat shaped like a zero and an estimation jar with different kind of math manipulatives that we would be using soon.

Our Reading Igloo

This shows two views of the Reading igloo that I built for my Kindergarten students. Our 5th grade Reading Buddies read to us inside it. It was fun!

Three sets of 5th Grade Reading Buddies and Kindergartners are enjoying their stories inside the igloo.

Our 5th grade Reading Buddies also read to us outside the igloo!
