GREG and STEVE CONCERT
Our first grade class went on a field trip to a "Greg and Steve" concert at a university auditorium in Los Angeles. It was a great interactive concert and afterwards we got some pictures with Greg outdoors.

This is most of our class with Greg.

Here are some of my students and our classroom aide.

SANTA MONICA PIER, BEACH and AQUARUIM
We got to take our Kindergarten class to the pier for our yearly field trip. First we had a lesson about sea creatures that live on the coral reef. We got to handle some that were in a tank; we picked up hermit crabs and starfish. Other displays were for looking only and the sea animals were behind glass in large aquariums. Afterwards, ate our picnic lunches at a grassy area and then headed to the beach to practice our sand sculpting skills.

We listen to information about sea creatures that live on the coral reef.

Sand Stonehenge?

Building sand castles is a must at the beach!

This is my quilt made out of colored masking tape and ziplock bags The pictures are inserted from the back opening of each baggie. You can make them any size you want to. I made it 35 bags because I was moving up to 4th grade the next year and I would have more than the 20 students I had in Kindergarten. In this photo, the students have made paintings of sea creatures.
