If We Could Start Over is a favorite because it tells a story. A reconciliation story for the matter, with the girl narrating how she broke up with the love of her life (the guy did a Houdini on her). Now she sees the guy again and the hurt comes back to her like a flash flood. She still loves him though (lucky bastard) and the guy apparently recognizes what a jewel she is (about time).
I always wondered why this song didn't hit it big, unlike "If You Asked Me To". I guess it all comes down to the packaging.
