Hands down, this has got to be one one of the most beautiful love---if not wedding---songs I have ever heard. At one point in my life, this has been my personal anthem, until a local singer decided to revive it and the song lost its mysterious appeal.

When it comes to love, the song does nail it. After all, out of all the millions of people in this planet, there's only one person you'll ever fall in love with. Of course, there are circumstances: the other half cheats, leaves, dies, and so on. But let's face it, love does move in mysterious ways. Why else do people revel in telling and listening love stories?

Oh yeah, this song is the theme for the movie "The Butcher's Wife" (starring Demi Moore). It's an old movie but it was only several months ago that I've seen it...you know, the same old story: I didn't have any money to see the movie when I was a kid. It's a nice movie, but it took the "love moves in mysterious ways" far too literally, though.
Love Moves (In Mysterious Ways)
Performed by: Julia Fordham

Who'd have thought
This is how the pieces fit?
You and I
Shouldn't even try making sense of it

I forgot
How we ever came this far
I believe we had reasons
but I don't know what they are
So blame it on my heart

Chorus: Love moves in mysterious ways
It's always so surprising
When love appears over the horizon
I'll love you
For the rest of my days
But still, it's a mystery
Of how you ever came to me
Which only proves
Love moves in mysterious ways

Heaven knows
Love is just a chance we take
We make plans
But then love demands a leap of faith

So hold me close
Never ever let me go
'Cause even though we think we know
Which way the river flows
That's not the way love goes, no

(Repeat
Chorus)

Like the ticking of the clock
Two hearts beat as one
But I'll never understand
The ways it's done

(Repeat
Chorus)

Love moves in mysterious ways
