Protected features in the Alaska Region includes Mountain Ranges and Wilderness Areas; Rain Forests; Ocean Beaches; Glaciers and Ice Fields; and Volcanoes. Hawaii
A chain of islands in the Pacific Ocean created by volcanoes. Active volanoes and lava flows are protected features in the Hawaii Region. Western & Pacific
The Western & Pacific Region is home to spectacular Coastal Mountain Ranges, Glaciers, Rain Forests and Ocean Beaches. Southwestern The Southwestern Region features Desert Terrain, the Giant Saguaro Cactus, the Mineral Hot Springs in Arkansas, and the Grand Canyon in Arizonia which is one of the world's best examples of erosion. Great Plains The Great Plains Region consists of Indian Ruins in Colorado, the Badlands of the Dakotas, Desert Terrain and interesting Rock Formations in Utah, the Grand Tetons of Wyomimg and the spectacular features of Yellowstone National Park. Middle West The Mid Western Region main features are waterways. Southeast The Southeastern Region features some Native American and Hispanic Heritage and the Marshlands of Flordia. Mid Atlantic The Mid Atlantic is home to only one National Park. New England is also home to only one National Park that features the northern Atlantic Coast. |
