The Shuurajou History:
 

Clan Shuurajou is among the oldest Clans, predating the Di Nerezza, the Therion, the Delano, and the Andrasta.  Much of the Clan's records have been lost to the winds of time, but the book of Arabus notes their presence at the start of the mortal realm.

For the last millenia, the Shuurjou have been led by Malaikat Shuurajou.  Malaikat, also known as Kat, is known as one of the Kindred world's most progressive leaders.  The first to recognize the need for a Masquerade, Kat was also quick to acknowledge the potential for her Clan in the Americas.  She moved her Clan to New York at the start of the 20th century, and established their center of power as Kindred lords of the trade business within New York.  For the last century, the Shurrajou, operating under the company name Shuuken, have virtually controlled all shipping into and out of New York City by controlling the operations of the harbormaster.  With the rise of technology, the Shuurajou have established themselves as master of communication.  Their mortal subjects, many of whom have grown up with both parents and grandparents working for Shuuken, are devoted to the corporation that has brought so much success to their families, and are readily sworn to secrecy as to the true nature of their corporate leaders.

In addition to the technology and trade industries, the Clan owns a number of safehouses and clubs within the city.  The most notorious, Tsunami, is located - where else? - down at the pier.  Tsunami is a club for the wilder pack of vampires within the city.  A massive structure of cement, Tsunami has no windows to the outside world.  Inside, everything is very sleek and modern, with the lobby boasting one of the world's largest indoor waterfalls that spills directly down into the harbor itself.  The main part of the club consists of a massive dance space, with a small indoor open aquarium running throughout.  The aquarium houses such innocent creatures as delicate angelfish and other beautiful saltwater creatures, as well as dangerous sting rays and small sharks  At either end are smaller verions of the waterfall in the main lobby. 

The Clan's main meeting room is behind the main waterfall.  From inside the hidden room, Kat can watch both her guests and control the ever expanding empire that is Clan Shuurajou.

There are two seconds to Kat's reign as Clan head.  Her beloved childe Aiji is her direct second. Tansei, Kat's lover of the past few hundred years, is her seasoned lietenant, and the Clan's head Enforcer.
