To my knowledge there was no evident Bob Dylan fan activities in Finland during the seventies. Many top Finnish rock musicians and magazines respected Dylan and some articles about him were also published, but that was all! During the eighties this situation changed a little bit because of Dylan's concerts here in 1987, 1989 and 1990. In 1998 there was talk about founding an e-mail group and finally it was launched in 1999 and has been operative since then. After over 15.000 emails it's the strongpoint of communication between Finnish Dylan fans. In 2005 we have also this Web site, but still no Dylan Society like they have in Norway and in some other countries. Anyhow, we have had two Inter/national Dylan meetings. Below are photos from our first and second Dylan meetings just before the Helsinki 2000 and 2003 concerts. These meetings took place in Pasila in Sevilla lobby bar. If I remember correctly, in 2000 we had over 50 visitors and and in 2003 at least 35 visitors. You can see most of them in these two photos.
