This is Rina from DD's Page!

Rina’s History:

Rina is the daughter of an Istan Seamstress and a Trader. She learned how to sew from her mother, and what is of value from her father. They had told her stories from when she was young about how the dragonriders protected Pern from threadfall, which gave her respect for Riders. When she was 16 turns old, she rode with her father to trade with Telgar and decided to stay there to assist the Dragonfolk, who have given their lives to help Pern, even though threadfall is now overwith. She came to telgar not knowing what she would do there, and met the Head cook, who made her Assistant cook. She worked in the kitchens for several turns, until she was searched.

Did I mention she is deathly afraid of dragons? As a young girl, she was watching a runnerbeast from behind a bush, daydreaming about riding it (as all little girls do) when a brown dragon came out of the sky and landed, not a dragonslength away from her and devoured the runnerbeast! This incident terrified her and made her afraid of dragons. Several dragonriders found out about her fear and tried to 'help' her with her fear of dragons, but it seemed to only scare here more. She remained fearful of dragons until the day she impressed Melantath, or did Melantath impress her? :)

Rina is now a Telgar EMT squad rider. She is also taking healer classes in Igen with Healer Sr. Journeyman Tyrin. She is also taking dragonhealing classes with Brownrider K'chiko.

Rina and Telgar Weyrlord, B'neron, are an "item". They have known each other since candidacy, and she has liked him that long! She is rather shy about telling him her feelings, and being a typical guy, he had no clue. The obvious had to be hammered into his head! With the two of them not knowing how to act around each other, things were rather bumpy at first,and sometimes dangerous for others around them. With the help of Alicia, Kij'in, Melantath, Rajalath and others, B'neron finally now knows her feelings and realized that he has feelings for her as well.
