Frito Misto

What you need:

500g green king prawns
250g scallops
500g small squids
250g fish fillets
oil for deep-frying

Batter:
1 cup self-raising flour
1 cup water, approximately
1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
pinch salt

What to do:

*Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt into bowl.  Gradually add water, stir until batter is smooth.  A little more water may be needed if batter is too thick. 
*Shell prawns, leaving tails intact; remove back veins.  Clean squids, cut into thin rings.  Remove any bones from fish fillets, cut into pcs.  Clean scallops.
*Heat oil in large saucepan.  Dip prawns, squid, fish pcs and scallops into batter; drain off excess batter.  Deep-fry seafood in hot oil, a few pcs at a time, until golden brown.  Remove from oil, drain well on absorbent paper.  Serve hot with Tartare sauce.

Serve 6.
Be very careful when frying squids bcos' they will splatter greatly.
