Chicken Curry

What you need:

1 whole chicken, cleaned and cut into 8 pcs
3 tbsp curry powder mixed with 1/2 cup water
2 or 3 cloves garlic
1 medium onion, sliced or ground
1 1/2  inch ginger
1 box Kara coconut milk
2 potatoes, peeled and cut
1 tomato, quartered
1 green chilli, sliced (optional)
2 pcs cloves (bunga cengkih)
2 pcs cardamom (buah pelaga)
Coriander leaves for flavour but optional
Salt to taste

What to do:

*Firstly, pound or grind together garlic, onion and ginger.
*Heat oil, add cloves and cardamom and ground items.
*Fry till fragrant.  Take about 3 minutes.    
*Add in curry powder that was mixed with water.  Add more water, abt. 1 cup or more and stir. Let it boil.
*Add in the chicken and after 2 minutes, turn the heat to low and let it simmer.  Also add in the tomato, green chilli and potatoes at this point.  Cover and simmer until chicken is done. Pour in coconut milk, the amount is up to you.  1/2 box of Kara is alright.
*Season with salt and taste now.   Add coriander leaves.  Stir slowly so as not to break the chicken slices.
