Ten Avatars of Vishnu

Bhagavad Gita

Narrates Krishna to Arjuna :

Whenever Dharma, or the situation of law and order, is endangered on this world, I incarnate onto this world to re establish Dharma, law and order, and to protect the Sadhus or saints and to detroy the evil elements of the society.

Throughout ages, Lord Vishnu, has incarnated in various life forms through different yugas (ages or eons) in situations where Dharma was in danger, because of certain dushta (evil) elements in the world. In mythology, there ten documented instances of incarnation of Lord Vishnu. These incarnations are termed as the avatars of Lord Vishnu. Each avatar of Lord Vishnu shall be presented below with apporpriate deatils of the situation under which the lord was compelled to land on the earth.

THE REVELATIONS OF ALLAH --

lo! Allah is swift at reckoning

2:151. Even as We have sent unto you a messenger from among you, who reciteth unto you OUR REVELATIONS--AAYAATINAA and PURIFIES YOU, and teacheth you the Scripture and wisdom, and TEACHES YOU -- MAA -- THAT which ye knew not.

2:152. Therefore remember Me, I will remember you. Give thanks to Me, and reject not Me
-----

please note that allah had revealed 'his revelations' -- so that one may remember him thereby. in the like manner, he had revealed 'his manifest proofs' so that one may WORSHIP him thereby. see HQ. 6:101-107.

and as such, the true islam as revealed in the holy qur'an is indeed the one in which the 'revelations of allah' have been revealed.

that said, what are 'THE REVELATIONS OF ALLAH--BI- AAYAA-TILLAAHI'? let the shia and sunni commentators of the holy qur'an explain the meaning thereof.

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 2:39]   The literal meaning of ayat is sign. Every verse of the Quran is a sign (ayat) because it draws the attention of the reader to its meaning. But Allah's signs, in the perfect sense, are those beings whose holy personalities draw the attention of the human beings to the glory of Allah. Every prophet of Allah, during his time, was a sign of Allah, and the Holy Prophet, the .... Imams and Bibi Fatimah are the conclusive signs of Allah.

       2. 39:  C57. But if the soul, in spite of the Oft-Returning Mercy of God, rejects the higher light and goes on sinning against that light, the inevitable consequence must be the spiritual Fire.  Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans

----

2.106: C107. The word which I have translated by the word "revelations" is Ayat. See C.41 and n. 15. It is not only used for verses of the Quran, but in a general sense for God's revelations, as in ii. 39 and for other Signs of God in history or nature, or miracles, as in ii. 61. It has even been used for human signs and tokens of wonder, as, for example, monuments or landmarks built by the ancient people of AD (xxvi. 128). Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans

------

the holy prophet and messenger of allah  [sas] was a manifest proof, says the holy qur'an. whereas jesus and his mother [pbuth] were made ayats--revelations for all peoples.

98: 1. Those who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters could not have left off (erring) till the MANIFEST PROOF came unto them, 98: 2. A messenger from Allah, reading purified pages.

-----

21:91. And (remember) her who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her of Our spirit, and We made her [mary] and her son [jesus] a sign--aayaat  --   for all peoples. [see also 19:21 & 23:50]

-------

2:39. But they who disbelieve, and deny Our revelations, such are rightful Peoples of the Fire. They will abide therein.

----

rest assured, in spite of the above facts, things were not that easy during the holy prophet's [sas] own lifetime and mission. a majority of his followers grieved him very much. but what was the reason for that grief anyway?

well, let the holy qur'an speak for itself.

6:33. Text Box: 4 We know indeed the grief which their words do cause thee: It is n_o_t thee they reject: it is the REVELATIONS OF ALLAH--AAYAA-TILLAAHI, which the wicked contemn.
------

what could be a greater cause of unhappiness for him [sas] and muslims when such was/is the divine testimony  against some of his followers? how much of the above had really changed over the centuries past, if any at all?  please ponder over this grave issue for the good of your own soul and salvation.

anyway, as just seen, 'ayats' are revelations. for the most part, when allah speaks of 'ayats' -- he means his own revelations, which are the holy imams [pbuth].

this is not a new concept or innovation in islam. rather, allah had revealed himself from eons past -- mainly for the benefit of mankind -- so that he, the man may return to and from whom he had come.

003.108 These are revelations of Allah. We recite them unto thee in truth. Allah  willeth no injustice unto the worlds--lilAAalameena. 003.109 Unto Allah belongeth MAA--HE WHO is in the heavens WA MAA--AND HE WHO is in the earth; and unto Allah all things are returned.

avatars of Lord Vishnu    Lord Vishnu in a fish form.

Matsya; the Fish, is the first manifestation of Vishnu in the course of the Deluge: He saved humanity's forebears from the flood.  While Brahma was falling asleep, at the end of the Kalpa, the asura Hayagriva wanted to take advantage of the circumstances to steal from him the Vedas. But Vishnu caught the asura in the act, and to retreive the Vedas, took the form of a fish. Then Vishnu-Matsya taught the rishi (sage) Satyavrata to collect herbs, seeds and animals, to ghather toghether the seven rishis, and to wait. At the Pralaya's beginning the gigantic fish defeated the asura, restored the Vedas to Brahma;  . Matsya; RamaKrishna ; Kalaki

that He might try you

11: 7. And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days - and His Throne was upon the water - that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. Yet if thou (O Muhammad) sayest: Lo! ye will be raised again after death! those who disbelieve will surely say: This is naught but mere magic.   7. wahuwa allathee khalaqa alssamawati waal-arda fee sittati ayyamin wakana aaarshuhu aaala alma-i liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanu aaamalan wala-in qulta innakum mabaaoothoona min baaadi almawti layaqoolanna allatheena kafaroo in hatha illa sihrun mubeenun

-----

what do these 3 unrelated revelations have in common?

for some inexplicable reason -- [that He might try you] -- or the other, the lord god himself had descended on earth after the creation of heavens and earth. and more importantly, for a period of time his dwelling was associated with the mass of water.

both according to the bible and the holy qur'an, during the israelite dispensation he had revealed himself as the blessed fire to moses. he also chose, spoke and guided him continually throughout his mission, during which period he also appointed aaron, his brother as his deputy--wazir and imam--priest.

so, please go beyond the words of these scriptures and look for the deeper meaning embedded therein. every aspect of islam resonates and revolves around these important aayaats. this has nothing to do with either hinduism or reincarnation or whatever.

"Melchizedek
is substituted
even for the most holy
name of israel's God,
Yahweh

         Intro: The Dead Scrolls:

For our author Melchizedek is an enormously
exalted divine being, to whom are applied
names that are generally reserved for God
alone, the hebrew names El and Elohim.

In the author's citation of Isaiah 61:2, which speaks of the year of
the Lord's favor,,,
"Melchizedek is substituted even for the most holy
name of israel's God, Yahweh.
yet more remarkably, Melchizedek is said to atone for the sins of the righteous and to execute judgment upon the wicked actions usually associated with God himself. by the power of Melchizedek, dominion on earth shall pass from satan (here called Belial) to the righteous Sons of Light.
-------------

rest assured, the holy qur'an endorses this view fully, as shown previously.

however, in part 1 of this write-up we saw clearly that tedm's hypothesis did not hold water since it was not based on any text in the bible per se. rather, he pursued his own agenda as well, contradicted and belied the bible in the process. as is, the roman catholic christians do not uphold the bible in its entirety, as demonstrated by him often and clearly in the past.

allow me to explain.

says tedm:

;>>
the significance of Melchizedek is FIGURATIVE OR
SYMBOLIC. clearly, _CHRISTIANS_ believe that Melchizedek
was born of human parents, lived a pious life, and eventually died.
the genealogy of Melchizedek would trace itself back to adam and
eve. he was a real historical figure in human history. Melchizedek is
not now alive on the earth, because he died millennia ago. yet,
none of these events were recorded of his life.

[emphasis added by navali]
;>>
---------

navali: was it real or symbolic, my friend? please play -- by the same rules, if you mean well!

please note that jesus preached the UNITY OF GOD:

Mark 12:28 and one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning Text Box: together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, which is THE FIRST COMMANDMENT OF ALL? Mark 12:29 and Jesus answered him, THE FIRST OF ALL THE COMMANDMENTS IS, Hear, o Israel; THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD: Mark 12:32 and the scribe said unto him, well, master, thou hast said the truth: FOR THERE IS ONE GOD; AND THERE IS NONE OTHER BUT HE:
------

the apostles preached the same unity after him:

         Text Box:  Romans 3:30 Seeing it is ONE GOD, .......      Corinthians i 8:6 but to us there is but ONE GOD, THE FATHER, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ,     Ephesians 4:6 ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.     Timothy i 2:5 for there is ONE GOD, and one mediator between god and men, THE MAN CHRIST JESUS;     James 2:19 thou believest that THERE IS ONE GOD;
--------

but whatever innovations and corruptions had taken place after him -- is also a matter of public record now. with every new archeological discoveries, etc.,  more and more facts are being uncovered.

regardless, jesus' handpicked apostles and disciples did not regard or recognize him as the 'son of God or a divine being' following his so-called cruci_FICTion, death and resurrection [click on the links below], as is clear from the first 8 or 9 chapters of the book of acts.

THY HOLY SERVANT JESUS

Acts 3:26 for you first, God raised up _ HIS SERVANT_ and sent him Text Box: to  bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways.  Acts 4:27 for of a truth against thy _HOLY SERVANT JESUS,_ whom thou hast ANOINTED,  Acts 4:30 by stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of _THY HOLY SERVANT JESUS._  Acts 10:38 how GOD _ANOINTED JESUS_ of Nazareth with the holy ghost and with power: ...... for God was with him.

--------

according to many biblical scholars, this is perhaps the earliest writings available in christianity.  however, in the eyes of his own handpicked apostles, JESUS, WAS ONLY AN ANOINTED HOLY SERVANT -- chosen for a specific and limited mission and purpose, as we shall see shortly, in his own words as well.

more importantly, he was not even a kingly messiah that he was alleged to be or the one that the jews were expecting for a long time -- because he did not even know when the kingdom of Israel would be restored -- let alone rule over it, as is evident from his insolence and lack of knowledge thereof.

Matthew 10:6 but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Matthew 15:24 But He answered and said, I -- [jesus] -- was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

----

Acts 1:6Text Box: when they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, lord, wilt thou at this time RESTORE AGAIN the kingdom to israel? Acts 1:7 and he said unto them, IT IS NOT FOR YOU TO KNOW the times or the seasons, which the father hath put in his own power.

----

Acts 2:22 Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know --
------

why was jesus called 'Messias'?

I AM HE
-- the messias -- christ

Acts 10:21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?

---

did this reply make peter divine as in god simply because he said  I AM HE??

a ONCE - blind beggar also said 'I AM HE'!

John 9:8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? John 9:9 Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.

---

now, did this assertion also make him god and/or divine in some way?

therefore, what did jesus mean to say? did he say that he was a god or divine being in any way, shape or form?

it must be remembered that 'wisdom -- was with god' from everlasting to everlasting. and that melchisedec was a pre-existent and everlasting imam--priest. whereas, jesus came into being in time -- i.e., 'in the beginning' and, he had also died for 3 days and 3 nights.

regardless, let the new testament speak for itself.

John 18:4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? john 18:5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. John 18:6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. John 18:8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:

---

on the other hand, was jesus regarded as a god or a part of the unknowable trinity -- simply because he performed some miracles?

in that case we must also regard elijah and his son as greater gods because they performed greater miracles than jesus or his followers ever did.

Text Box:         Kings II 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.       Kings II 2:8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

-----

and that's not all. miracles were also performed after jesus. therefore, how many gods do we have in christianity besides the original trinity?

Acts 19:11 God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Text Box: Paul,        Acts 8:13 Even Simon himself believed; and after being baptized, he continued on with Philip, and as he observed signs and great miracles taking place, he was constantly amazed.

Galatians 3:5 So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?         Hebrews 2:4 God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will.

---

now, how could there be a 'trinity of god' when there was absolutely no equality between god, the father, his son and the holy ghost??

for all intents and purposes,  jesus appeared to be too insignificant and limited when compared to the holy ghost and god.  he was also  subservient to god, the father.

John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.          John 14:28  because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

---

in other words, jesus could do nothing on his own. and further, his knowledge was limited. he knew only that which he was taught and commanded to speak by his father or so he said -- "but as my father hath taught me, i speak these things."

meaning: jesus was not divine. this is also obvious from the fact that:

John 4:21 Jesus saith unto her, ..... John 4:22 ye worship ye know not Text Box: what: we know what we worship: FOR SALVATION IS OF THE JEWS. John 4:23 but the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall WORSHIP THE FATHER IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH: for the FATHER SEEKETH such to worship him. John 4:24 GOD IS A SPIRIT: and they that WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP him in spirit and in truth.

---

he clearly pointed to the worship of god, the father alone. he himself worshipped that god, the father.

god, the father had begotten other sons long before jesus christ was begotten by him.

Text Box: Exodus 4:22 Then you shall say to Pharaoh, "Thus says the LORD, Israel is My son, My firstborn. Exodus 4:23 So I said to you, "Let My son go that he may serve Me'; but you have refused to let him go        Psalms 2:7 I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.        Psalms 68:5 A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows, Is God in His holy habitation        Psalms 89:26 He will cry to Me, "You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.'         Psalms 82:6 I said, You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High.

---

jesus confirmed it like so:

          john 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? John 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

----

please read and review the above very carefully. jesus countered their baseless argument in a very erudite manner.

however, were they all gods besides the said trinity? did not jesus too, claim to be 'a god'  and/or 'one with the father' at this juncture? rest assured, it was merely a mode of expression current then and nothing more, as can be seen from jesus' own quotation and REMINDER of the scripture, which, he said, 'can't be broken.'.

therefore, whatever jesus might have said must be viewed in the above context and connotation as well. it could not have any other distinct meaning because NOWHERE in the 4 gospels did god, the father DECLARE JESUS AS HIS 'ONLY BEGOTTEN SON.'

as a matter of fact, the word 'BEGOTTEN' had not been used for him EVEN ONCE BY GOD HIMSELF, save what john and paul would have us believe, in their enthusiasm.

jesus was his 'beloved son' only and not a 'begotten son.'

Peter II 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

-----

jesus, the messias -- called the christ  -- was only a teacher.

john 4:25 the woman saith unto him, i know that MESSIAS cometh, which is called CHRIST: when he is come, HE WILL TELL US ALL THINGS. John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I THAT SPEAK unto thee AM HE

---

But whom say ye that I am?

Mark 8:27 And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? Mark 8:28 And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets. Mark 8:29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ. Mark 8:30 And he charged them that they should tell no man of him

----

although there are other variations of this statement in the gospels, i have opted to quote the above as that seems more credible and less contradictory than the others. regardless, he was seen as one of the prophets. furthermore, the christ wished to remain INCOGNITO!

please note again: the woman saith unto him, 'i know that MESSIAS cometh, which is called CHRIST: when he is come, HE WILL TELL US ALL THINGS. '

MEANING: he was only a teacher, the christ.

John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I THAT SPEAK unto thee AM HE
------

jesus affirms that he was the expected 'messias which is called the christ(?, navali).'
'messias' means the christ, does it not? are they not one and the same?

anyhow, he was the expected teacher only. adding the words 'messias and christ' in the same sentence did not change the meaning of this verse -- since not only did both words mean the same thing but jesus also acknowledged that he was messias--christ vis-à-vis teacher.

more importantly, jesus did not direct any worship unto himself. rather, he asked his followers to worship the father in spirit and truth. and for this purpose, he was recognized as the 'expected messias,' by the woman of samaria. she did not recognize him as 'divine or the son of god.' the jews were not expecting such a 'divine being' either.

however, only saul/paul of tarsus -- declared him as 'the son of god,' after -- his very questionable or controversial conversion to christianity:

Text Box:
Acts 9:20 and s_t_r_a_i_g_h_t_w_a_y he [Paul] preached CHRIST in the synagogues, that HE IS THE SON OF GOD. Acts 9:22 but Saul [Paul] increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very CHRIST.
----------

meaning: paul was the real mastermind and founder of the pauline christianity, as we have it today.

but, where did paul and his henchmen, luke and mark get such notions from? in other words, were the authors and editors of the new testament influenced by the essene community and the dead sea scrolls at the time?

well, recent discovery of the dead sea scrolls seems to indicate that beyond a shadow of the doubt. here's the proof. and now you be the judge.

130. The Coming of Melchizedek 11q13

the biblical jubilee year was the fiftieth year, the year following
the succession of seven sabbatical years. whereas a sabbatical year was
one in which the land must lie fallow and rest (analogous to the sabbath
at the end of the week), in the jubilee year all land that had been
alienated from its original owners was supposed to return to them. all
hebrew slaves were to be set free. the jubilee year began on the day of
atonement and was signaled by the blowing of trumpets throughout the
land and the proclamation of universal liberty.

the author of the present intriguing melange of biblical citations
has selected many of the bible's verses that relate to the jubilee year
and created a work wherein those portions receive their "TRUE"
INTERPRETATION
one that is by no means obvious to the casual reader of
the bible. he understands the jubilee year remission of debts as
referring not merely to prosaic matters of money, but to the FORGIVENESS
OF SIN. The author declares that the
AGENT OF THIS SALVATION IS TO BE
NONE OTHER THAN MELCHIZEDEK,
a mysterious figure referenced only twice
in the bible, in genesis 14 and psalm 110.

for our author MELCHIZEDEK is an enormously EXALTED DIVINE Being,
to whom ARE APPLIED NAMES that are generally RESERVED FOR GOD
ALONE, THE HEBREW NAMES EL AND ELOHIM. in the author's citation of
isaiah 61:2, which speaks of the year of the lord's favor,,,

"MELCHIZEDEK IS SUBSTITUTED EVEN FOR THE MOST HOLY NAME OF ISRAEL'S GOD, YAHWEH. YET MORE REMARKABLY, MELCHIZEDEK IS SAID TO ATONE FOR THE SINS OF THE RIGHTEOUS AND TO EXECUTE JUDGMENT UPON THE WICKED ACTIONS USUALLY ASSOCIATED WITH GOD HIMSELF. BY THE POWER OF MELCHIZEDEK,

dominion on earth shall pass from satan (here called belial) to the righteous SONS OF LIGHT. this latter group constitutes those who are predestined to belong to the PARTY OF MELCHIZEDEK, the congregation of the sons of righteousness. these people heed the message of a second figure described in this writing as the messenger. the messenger, also designated ANOINTED OF THE SPIRIT (hebrew Messiah), is conceived of as coming with a message from god, a message explicating the course of history (that is, a declaration of when the end shall come) and teaching about god's truths. this figure dies, an event that may correspond somehow with the text's references to jubilee periods. in many of the scrolls, jubilee periods are not only times of liberation as described in the bible, but also ways of keeping track of time. the present text apparently envisions a scheme in which the coming of the last days is calculated by means of these jubilee periods.

much about this remarkable text remains mysterious and considerable
further is needed to achieve a truer understanding of its ideas. the
figure of as portrayed here is
STRIKINGLY REMINISCENT OF THE NEW TESTAMENT TO A HEAVENLY FIGURE OF THAT NAME, A HIGH PRIEST described as follows: father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of nor end of life, but resembling the son of god, he remains a priest forever i (heb. 7:3). clearly MELCHIZEDEK WAS A FOCUS OF POWERFUL SALVIFIC IMAGERY among various jewish groups in the period of the scrolls.

the FIGURE OF MELCHIZEDEK, THE HEAVENLY SAVIOR of those predestined to belong to him.

col. 2 2[. . .] and concerning what scripture says, in [this] year of jubilee [you shall return, every one of you, to your property (lev. 25:13) and what is also written, and this] is the [ma]nner of [the remission]: every creditor shall remit the claim that is held [against a neighbor, not exacting it of a neighbor who is a member of the
community, because god s] remission [has been proclaimed (deut. 15:2): 4 [the interpretation] is that it applies [to the l]ast days and concerns the captives, just as [isaiah said: to proclaim the jubilee to the captives (ISA. 61:1). . . . just] as 5[ . . . ] and from the inheritance of
MELCHIZEDEK, for .    MELCHIZ[EDEK] S FAVOR (ISA. 61:2, modified),
[and] by his might he w[i]ll JUDGE GOD'S HOLY
ONES and so establish a righteous ki[n]gdom,
as it is written about him in the songs of david,
A GODLIKE BEING has taken his PLACE IN THE
COUNCIL OF GOD
; in the midst of the DIVINE
BEINGS HE HOLDS JUDGMENT (PS. 82:1).
scripture also s[ays] about him, over [it]
take your seat in the HIGHEST HEAVEN;
A DIVINE BEING WILL JUDGE
the peoples (ps. 7:7 8).

concerning what scripture s[ays, how long will y]ou (plural: you-all) judge unjustly, and sh[ow] partiality to the wick[e]d? [s]el[ah] (ps. 82:2), the interpretation applies to belial and the spirits predestined to him, becau[se all of them have rebe]lled, turn[ing] from god s precepts [and so becoming utterly wicked.]  therefore MELCHIZEDEK will thoroughly prosecute k the veng[ea]nce required BY GO[D S] STATU[TE]S. the figure of the messenger, an anointed one who comes with a message

(...) and concerning what scripture says, "in this year of jubilee
you shall return, everyone of you, to your property" (lev. 25;13) and
what is also written; "and this is the manner of the remission; every
creditor shall remit the claim that is held against a neighbor, not
exacting it of a neighbor who is a member of the community, because
god`s remission has been proclaimed" (deut.15;2) the interpretation is that it applies to the last days and concerns the captives, JUST AS ISAIAH SAID: "TO PROCLAIM THE JUBILEE TO THE CAPTIVES" (ISA. 61;1)

(...) just as (...) and from the inheritance of MELCHIZEDEK, FOR (... MELCHIZEDEK) , who will return them to what is rightfully theirs. he will proclaim to them the jubilee, thereby releasing them from the debt of all their sins. he shall proclaim this decree in the first week of the jubilee period that follows nine jubilee periods. then the "day of atonement" shall follow after the tenth jubilee period, when he shall atone for all the SONS OF LIGHT, and the people who are predestined to MELCHIZEDEK.

(...) UPON THEM (...) FOR THIS IS THE TIME DECREED FOR THE "YEAR OF MELCHIZEDEK`S FAVOUR", AND BY HIS MIGHT HE WILL JUDGE GOD`S HOLY ONES AND so establish a righteous kingdom, as it is written about him in the songs of david ;

"A GODLIKE BEING HAS TAKEN HIS PLACE IN THE
COUNCIL OF GOD; IN THE MIDST OF DIVINE BEINGS HE HOLDS JUDGMENT"

(ps. 82;1). scripture also says about him ; "over it take your seat in the
HIGHEST HEAVEN; A DIVINE BEING WILL JUDGE the peoples" (ps. 7;7-8) concerning what scripture says ; " how long will you judge unjustly , and show partiality with the wicked? selah" (ps. 82;2) ,the interpretation applies to belial and the spirits predestined to him,  because all of them have rebelled, turning from god`s precepts and so
becoming utterly wicked. therefore
MELCHIZEDEK will thoroughly prosecute the vengeance required by god`s statutes. also, he will deliver all the captives from the power of belial, and from the power of all the spirits destined to him. allied with him will be all the "RIGHTEOUS DIVINE BEINGS"(ISA. 61;3). (THE ...) IS THAT WHI(CH ...ALL) THE DIVINE BEINGS.

the visitation is the day of salvation that he has decreed through isaiah the prophet concerning all the captives, inasmuch as scripture says, "how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the
MESSENGER  WHO ANNOUNCES PEACE, who brings good news, who announces salvation, who says to zion    "YOUR DIVINE BEING REIGNS"." (ISA. 52;7) this scriptures interpretation : "the mountains" are the prophets, they who were sent
to proclaim GOD`S TRUTH and to prophesy to all israel.

"the messengers" is the
ANOINTED OF THE SPIRIT, of whom daniel spoke; "after the sixty-two weeks, an ANOINTED shall be cut off" (dan. 9;26) the "messenger who brings good news, who announces salvation" is the one of whom it is written; "TO PROCLAIM THE YEAR OF THE LORD`S FAVOUR, THE DAY OF THE VENGEANCE OF OUR GOD; TO COMFORT ALL WHO MOURN" (ISA. 61;2) THIS SCRIPTURE`S INTERPRETATION: he is to instruct them about all the periods of history for eternity (... and in the statutes) of the truth. (...) (.... dominion) that passes from belial and returns to the SONS OF LIGHT (....) (...) by the JUDGMENT OF GOD, just as t is written concerning him; "who says to zion "YOUR DIVINE BEING REIGNS" (ISA. 52;7) "zion" is the congregation all the sons of righteousness, who uphold the covenant and turn from walking in the way of the people.

"YOUR DIVINE BEING" IS MELCHIZEDEK, who will deliver them from the power of belial. concerning what scripture says, "then you shall have the trumpet sounded loud; in the seventh month . . . " (lev. 25;9)

-----------

as can be seen, the essene community & the dead sea scrolls applied the isaiah 61 text to MELCHISEDEC, a divine being, anointed--christ, messiah and priest [imam] of the most high god [el-elyon - heb & al-aliyyun - arb], who was also called by god's own name.

in spite of these irrefutable facts, the authors and editors of the new testament changed all that and applied it to jesus christ, son of mary a few decades or a century later.

however, jesus himself did not wish to be declare as the christ or the son of god, as the gospels assert plainly.

Matthew 16:20 then he [Jesus] warned the disciples that they should tell no one that he was the Christ.
--------

now we see why he [jesus] said that and what he meant thereby, if true.

Isaiah 61:1 the Spirit of the Lord god is upon me; __because the lord
Text Box:       hath ANOINTED ME TO__ preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; isaiah 61:2 to proclaim the acceptable year of the lord, and the day of vengeance of our god; to comfort all that mourn;
-------

compare with:

luke 4:14 and jesus returned in the power of the spirit into galilee:
Text Box: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. luke 4:17 and there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet esaias. and when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, luke 4:18 the spirit of the lord is upon me, __because he hath anointed me to__ preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, luke 4:19 to preach the acceptable year of the lord. luke 4:20 and he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down.
:

luke 4:21 and he began to say unto them, this day is this scripture
fulfilled in your ears.
--------

well here are the scriptural facts before us, which tell us why the spirit of the lord was upon jesus. he declares plainly that it was so, *__because he hath anointed me to__* meaning; isaiah, melchisedec and jesus had a mission to accomplish. of the three, only melchisedec was a divine being, as declared by the essene community and the dead sea scrolls.

the pauline authors and editors of the new testament were later influenced by the same. in the process they corrupted their own scripture, without really understanding the essence of the revelation.

the divine IMAMATE & the bible -- Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest--imam

The LORD said unto my Lord

Genesis 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem ..... : and he was the Text Box: priest --imam of the most high God [[el-elyon -- al-aliyyun]].       Psalms 110:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right  hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.  Psalms 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest--imam for ever after the order of Melchizedek

ABIDETH A PRIEST - IMAM C_O_N_T_I_N_U_A_L_L_Y

Hebrews 7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, PRIEST-IMAM of the most high God [el-elyon -- al-aliyyun], Text Box: who met Abraham ...., and blessed him; Hebrews 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part [zakat--dasond] of all; first being by interpretation KING of righteousness, and after that also KING OF SALEM, which is, KING OF PEACE [ISLAM MEANS PEACE, navali]; Hebrews 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made [divine] like unto the Son of God; ABIDETH A PRIEST - IMAM C_O_N_T_I_N_U_A_L_L_Y.
------

if this melchisedec was:

1.     a divine being and 'ABIDETH A PRIEST - IMAM C_O_N_T_I_N_U_A_L_L_Y;'
2.     then jesus could not be a PRIEST _A_F_T_E_R_ HIS ORDER AFTER HIM. period.

see how the author qualified that statement.

PROOF:

bible concordance

Melchizedek:

king of righteousness, the king of Salem (q.v.). All we know of him is recorded in Gen. 14:18-20. He is subsequently mentioned only once in the Old Testament, in Ps. 110:4. The typical significance of his history is set forth in detail in the Epistle to the Hebrews, ch. 7. The apostle there points out the superiority of his priesthood to that of Aaron in these several respects, (1) Even Abraham paid him tithes; (2) he blessed Abraham; (3) he is the type of a Priest who lives for ever; (4) Levi, yet unborn, paid him tithes in the person of Abraham; (5) the permanence of his priesthood in Christ implied the abrogation of the Levitical system; (6) he was made priest not without an oath;

and (7) HIS PRIESTHOOD CAN NEITHER BE TRANSMITTED NOR INTERRUPTED BY DEATH: "THIS MAN, BECAUSE HE CONTINUETH EVER, HATH AN UNCHANGEABLE PRIESTHOOD."

The question as to who this mysterious personage was has given rise to a great deal of modern speculation. It is an old tradition among the Jews that he was Shem, the son of Noah, who may have survived to this time. Melchizedek was a Canaanitish prince, a worshipper of the true God, and in his peculiar history and character an instructive type of our Lord, the great High Priest (Heb. 5:6, 7; 6:20). One of the Amarna tablets is from Ebed-Tob, king of Jerusalem, the successor of Melchizedek, in which he claims the very attributes and dignity given to Melchizedek in the Epistle to the Hebrews

-----

note again:

bible concordance   (3) he is the type of a Priest who lives for ever; and (7) HIS PRIESTHOOD CAN NEITHER BE TRANSMITTED NOR INTERRUPTED BY DEATH: "THIS MAN, BECAUSE HE CONTINUETH EVER, HATH AN UNCHANGEABLE PRIESTHOOD."

----

3.    compare with  Hebrews 5:6; Hebrews 6:20; Hebrews 7:17 cited below. therein jesus is said to be the priest for ever and NOT melchisedec, as asserted above.

hence, jesus could not be a high priest for ever  after the order of melchisedec. not only did the new testament nullify his claim altogether but also the christian source/ commentary just cited asserts the same.

regardless, jesus himself did not claim to be that high priest during his own lifetime and mission on earth. the book of hebrews citing the above, was written between 80-110 years after him.

both the being and his priesthood were/are said to be eternal -- a fact that may be deduced from HQ: 17:71-71 and the shia commentary, quoted elsewhere.

in the like manner a sunni commentator asserts.

          18. 65:   C2411. One of Our servants: his name is not mentioned in the Qur-an, but Tradition gives it as Khidhr. Round him have gathered a number of picturesque folk tales, with which we are not here concerned. "Khidhr" means "Green": his knowledge is fresh and green, and drawn out of the living sources of life for it is drawn from Allah's own Knowledge.

He is a mysterious being, who has to be sought out.

He has the secrets of some of the paradoxes of Life, which ordinary people do not understand, or understand in a wrong sense, as we shall see further on. the nearest equivalent figure in the literature of the People of the Book is Melchizedek or Melchisedek (the Greek form in the New Testament). In Gen. xiv. 18-20, he appears as king of Salem, priest of the Most High God: he blesses Abraham, and Abraham gives him tithes.

C2412. Khidhr had two special gifts from Allah: (1) Mercy from Him, and (2) Knowledge from Him too. The first freed him from the ordinary incidents of daily human life; and the second entitled him to interpret the inner meaning and mystery of events, as we shall see further on. Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans

JETHRO & PRIESTHOOD -- IMAMATE

Text Box:              Exodus 3:1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest--imam of Midian ... and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.  Exodus 4:18 And Moses went and returned to Jethro [IMAM] his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro [IMAM] said to Moses, Go in peace. [ISLAM MEANS PEACE]

---

               Exodus 18:1 When Jethro, the priest--imam of Midian, Moses' father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt;

---

Exodus 18:12 And Jethro [imam], Moses' father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for Text Box: God: and Aaron [imam] came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father in law [imam] before God.    Exodus 28:41 And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's [imam] office.    Exodus 29:9 And thou shalt gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them: and the priest's [imam] office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons.
------

please note that jethro the priest-imam was very instrumental in both moses' and aaron's missions, respectively. could he then be the foundation of the aaronic priesthood? i have every reason to believe so.

the new testament and priesthood--imamate

Matthew 8:4 And Jesus said to him, See that you tell no one; but go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.

Text Box:           Luke 1:5 In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest--IMAM --  named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah; and he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.

John 18:15 Simon Peter was following Jesus, and so was another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest--IMAM, -- and entered with Jesus into the court of the high priest--IMAM,

Hebrews 3:1 THEREFORE, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest--IMAM -- of Text Box: our confession;      Hebrews 4:14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest---IMAM -- who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession  Hebrews 5:10 being designated by God as a high priest--IMAM according to the order of Melchizedek.

-----

this scripture shows that imamate had been present from the time of Melchizedek, the high priest. and then there was the aaronic priesthood as well, which, continued right through the time of jesus and beyond. the book of hebrews was written some 110 years after jesus' mission.

jesus is said to be the priest for ever and NOT melchisedec, as asserted above. meaning in christianity, there are 2 eternal priests now namely, melchisedec as per hebrews 7:1-3 and jesus like so:

Hebrews 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Hebrews 7:17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

-----

however, if one contends that is not the case then the only other alternative could be -- melchisedec's priesthood had been superseded by jesus -- in which case he had became an independent 'eternal priest.'

on the other hand, if, the holy prophet [sas] was the promised 'prophet like unto moses' [deut. 18:18,19 & HQ. 73:15] then why should his prophethood and followers be deprived of this holy institution of priesthood--imamate?

Text Box:           Psalms 110:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. Psalms 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

----

but more importantly, from the biblical viewpoint:

a.     when did 'the LORD SAY to my Lord,' as above?

b.    who was this 'my lord' besides the LORD and Melchisedec, who preceded him?

c.    note: Sit thou at my right Text Box: hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

this suggests one of the two things.  this conversation between the 2 Lords took place either BEFORE the latter lord's descent to earth or AFTER his ascent from earth. the major issue at hand was that he had enemies, which the former LORD promised to take care of for him.

during or AFTER this discussion, 'my Lord' was made ' a 'priest--imam' for ever after the order of Melchizedek.'

d.     but then, when did the LORD make Melchizedek the 'priest-imam' [sa] to begin with and what was the purpose or need for it then?

e.     remember: Hebrews 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; and abideth a priest-imam continually.

f.     in other words, who was this 'eternal'  priest--imam [sa] himself?

FOR EVER

Text Box:           Psalms 110:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. Psalms 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

----

Hebrews 7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, PRIEST-IMAM of the most high Text Box: God [el-elyon -- al-aliyyun], who met Abraham ...., and blessed him; Hebrews 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part [zakat--dasond] of all; first being by interpretation KING of righteousness, and after that also KING OF SALEM, which is, KING OF PEACE [ISLAM MEANS PEACE, navali]; Hebrews 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made [divine] like unto the Son of God; ABIDETH A PRIEST - IMAM C_O_N_T_I_N_U_A_L_L_Y.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever

---

IMPORTANT NOTE:

a.    psalms says:    Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek

b.    hebrews says:    For this Melchisedec --- ABIDETH A PRIEST - IMAM C_O_N_T_I_N_U_A_L_L_Y

c.    jesus says: another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever

i have already shown previously that 'another comforter' -- was a 'PERSON' like unto jesus -- and not the holy ghost, as the editors of the new testament would have us believe.

also, according to the holy qur'an 61:5, he was 'AHMAD' and not muhammad [pbuth]. moreover, only AHMED WAS/IS the HOLY IMAM [sa] and not the holy prophet muhammad [pbuth].

from the qur'anic viewpoint:

WHEN AND FROM WHAT WAS THE FIRST 'NON-HUMAN' IMAM CREATED?

17:71. 17:71. (Remember) the day when We will call every people with their Imam;  [Shakir's Quran Translation --- see yusuf ali's translation as well].

17:72. But those who were blind in this -- FII HAAZIIHI, will be blind in the hereafter, and most astray from the Path.

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 56:7]  According to Sahih Bukhari, the Holy Prophet said:

"He who does not recognise the Imam of his age and leaves this world dies the death of ignorance."  [see also f/n vr 71.  #1244-46  s.v. mir ahmed ali, pp. 905]

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 17:71 All human beings will appear with the guides (imams) they followed in their lives in the world. to give account of their deeds and faith. Blessed are they who follow the true guides (imams) of the Ahl ul Bayt, chosen by Allah and appointed by the Holy Prophet. The Holy Prophet said:

"Verily I am the Imam among you. After me, Ali will be your Imam. After him, his sons in his progeny will be your Imams. Whosoever remains attached with them shall be saved and shall obtain salvation. Those who disassociate themselves from them shall go astray and will certainly be lost."

NADI ALI, WHICH THE HOLY PROPHET RECITED

        The Holy Prophet said:

"Ali is my brother here and in the hereafter. He is from me and I am from him. I and Ali are from the same light."  --- Refer to Sahih Bukhari, Kitab al Maghazi, vol. 3, page 41 for the saying of the Holy Prophet: "O Ali, you are from me and I am from you."

----

apparently, here we have 2-two interesting versions of the shia ithna'asharite rendition of one and the same prophetic hadith, which in turn, has been cited from a couple of sunni sources. so, either the sunnis have changed the connotation thereof or have the said shia ithna'asharites themselves.

rest assured, despite their distortion or dilution -- the overall context and connotation of the hadith remains obvious.

it is reported by abu ishaq thalabi that abdullah bin salam asked the holy prophet to give the name of the man who had knowledge of the book and brought the queen of sheba with her throne within the twinkling of an eye.

the holy prophet said: "IT WAS ALI."

it is stated in minhaj al sadiqin and umdat al bayan -- [SUNNI HADITH] -- that then the holy prophet said to ALI:

"O ALI, thou had been HIDDEN -- [BATIN, navali] -- WITH ALL THE PROPHETS of allah preceding me, AND WITH ME THOU ARE MANIFEST - [ZAHIR, navali] - [M.S. U.B.] [#vr. 40. [1699], s.v. mir ahmed ALI, pp. 1157].

the Holy Prophet's [SAS] Horse was known as Buraq, which He rode to heavens with the Archangel Gabriel, according to Sunni hadiths--traditions.

Hadiths reveal that the Holy Prophet Mohammed used to arrange horse races: (Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.122) Narrated by Abu Ishaq from Musa bin Uqba from Mafia from Ibn Umar who said "Allah's Apostle arranged a horse race amongst the horses that had been made lean, letting them start from Al-Hafya' and their limit (distance of running) was up to Thaniyat-al-Wada'.

IMPORTANCE OF the oft-repeated 7--seven,  ZABUUR -- PSALMS [GINANS] -- the bible & THE HOLY QUR'AN

Sing unto him a new song

Psalms 47:7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding   Psalms 33:3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.     Psalms 9:2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise  to thy name, O thou most High   Psalms 30:4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.     Psalms 33:3 Sing unto him Text Box: a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.     Psalms 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.     Psalms 96:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.     Psalms 98:1 A Psalm. O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.     Psalms 144:9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.     Psalms 149:1 Praise ye the LORD.     15:87. We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated and the great Qur'an -- 87. Walaqad ataynaka sabAAan mina almathanee waalqur-ana alAAatheema

017.055 And thy Lord is Best Aware of all who are in the heavens and the earth. And we p_r_e_f_e_r_r_e_d some of the prophets above others, and unto David We gave the P_s_a_l_m_s_ --- Z_A_B_U_R.   34:10. And certainly We gave to DAVID excellence from Us: O mountains! sing praises with him -- AWWIBII MA-'AHUU, and the birds; and We made the iron pliant to him,  Shakir's Quran Translation

-----

please review the following verse very carefully. see what allah did. :

021.079 And We made Solomon to understand; Text Box: 4 and unto each of them
We gave judgment and knowledge.
AND WE SUBDUED WITH DAVID--
MA-'A DAWUUDAL -- the hills

--
wasakhkharna MAAAA DAWOODA aljibala
YUSABBIHNA waalttayra wakunna faAAileena.

   STOP

REFLECT, CONTEMPLATE AND MEDITATE UPON THIS.

how IMPORTANT is ginans--psalms to islam?

i.     david was given the psalms.
ii.    thus, he too, became one of the p_r_e_f_e_r_r_e_d prophets.
iii.   further, allah himself subdued the hills or mountains with david.
iv.   they sang allah's praise in unison.

meaning plainly that all these things have a soul and that they are people like us.

rest assured, the very foundation of islam is based upon this fact. every object has a soul.

023.062 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged.

006.038 There is not an animal in the earth, nor a flying creature flying on two wings, but they are peoples like unto you. We have neglected nothing in the Book (of Our decrees). Then unto their Lord they will be gathered.

041.011 Then turned He to the heaven when it was smoke, and said unto it and unto the earth: Come both of you, willingly or loth. They said: We come, obedient.

-------

and as such, the following becomes all the more important in islam:

15:87. We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated

and we p_r_e_f_e_r_r_e_d some of the prophets above others, and unto david we gave the p_s_a_l_m_s_ --- z_a_b_u_r

o mountains! sing praises with him -- awwibii ma-'ahuu,
and the birds.

and we subdued with david-- ma-'a dawuudal --
the hills to hymn praise -- yusabbihna with birds.
we were the doers.
