97: 1. Lo! We revealed it [anzalnaHU ^[*] on the Night of power --  Laylat-alqadr ^{*} 
97: 2. AND WHAT [WA MAA ^[*] will convey unto thee what the Night of Power is! 
97: 3. The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. 
97: 4. The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees. 
97: 5. SALAMUN^[*] hiya --  PEACE THIS  until the rising of the dawn.

laylatil qadr stands for the Holy Prophet and his Ahl ul Bayt

Qadr is power, honour, glory, grandeur.

Laylatil Qadr means the night of power or grandeur. As verses 2 and 3 suggest it is, in the spiritual sense, a secret kept hidden, and it transcends time because in it Allah's power dispels the darkness of ignorance through His revelation.

Jalal al Din al Suyuti, in Durr al Manthur, says that laylatil qadr stands for the Holy Prophet and his Ahl ul Bayt.

salaamun alaykum & ya ali madad,

what can a shia imami ismaili murid -- follower and jamat do and/or give to their beloved holy imam [sa] on this, the most important day in his life, ismalism, islam, the holy month of ramadan,  and the islamic and ismaili history, respectively? 

rest assured, nothing could be more important to him than to know that the jamat is united, firm and strong in its faith--imaan, knowledge, understanding and practice thereof.

the fundamental pillars and principles of this tariqah -- are in fact, the very essence of the 'true islam' -- revealed in the holy qur'an and other scriptures -- cited in my latest article namely:

a few members of the jamat and my family have approached me with a fantastic idea. 

they feel that this article is very well done. it is well researched, unbiased, informative and timely.

if available in a book form, it will help them and others to better their understanding and knowledge of our holy tariqah. 

after all, our holy pirs, under the guidance of our beloved holy imams [pbuth] --  converted hindus and others to this tariqah several centuries ago. 

and most important of all, our present beloved holy pir and imam-e-zaman [sa] -- has through his infinite grace and mercy as well, immense love and 'NOORANI' GUIDANCE' -- taken our holy tariqah to yet newer and higher heights undreamed of before - in both spiritual and secular matters. 

we are deeply grateful to him and the noorani family -- [panj tan pak -- the five holy ones of light] -- [pbuth] for this. 

as a token of appreciation, it is my sincere desire to reach the jamats and OTHERS [jews, christians, hindus and other shia and sunni muslims]; wherever possible -- with at least one [80-page] -- book per family.

anyhow, i wish to distribute this book freely, if i can find some financial contributors and/or sponsors  from members of the jamat and other muslim or christian brethrens, etc., to defray my costs.

Hzt. Ali's [As] Divine Sword was Dhulfikar [Zulfikar]. the WHITE HORSE was called Dhuldul [ c72 - TARIYE TUN TARANHAR]. 

and moreover, it is not a coincidence either to see how the Aga Khans [pbuth], the holy ahl al-baiyt [pbuth], have also been associated with horses, horse racing & breeding. read the aforesaid again!

seek the means of approach -- WASIILATA -- unto Him -- and strive in His way

5:35. O ye who believe! Do your duty to Allah, seek the means of approach unto Him, and strive in His way in order that ye may succeed. -- 35. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ittaqoo Allaha waibtaghoo ilayhi alwaseelata wajahidoo fee sabeelihi laAAallakum tuflihoona. 

       5. 35: --  C740. Taqwa here too might be translated "fear of Allah", ..... It is in fact duty to Allah, for we are told to seek ardently the means by which we may approach Him, and that can only be done by striving with might and main for His cause. Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans.

Wasilah is a means of access to a thing or a being. 

ALLAH selected and appointed His representatives to convey His message and laws to people and administer their affairs in every age. Please refer to pages 1 to 7, and the commentary of al Baqarah: 2 to 5, 30 to 38, 48, and 124 to know that the Holy Prophet and his Ahl ul Bayt are the only means of approach to Allah.

Thus wasilah or means of access to Allah is to faithfully follow the Holy Prophet and the holy Imams of his holy house, who have been thoroughly purified by Allah (Ahzab: 33).
