Suspension:

A tremendous amount of work has gone into making a well rounded Defender that can be driven both on the road and off. I drove the truck as a daily driver with no problems. It became my signature that I would be the only competitor to drive to the event, compete and drive home in the same rig.

The idea was to create a perfect balance front to year with the most travel while not completely compromising the on-road driving. Bilstein worked very closely on the Defender and went through several setups before we came up with the perfect shocks.

Up front a Safari Gard 3-Link system has been fitted with the Safari Gard cross member. This equals out the rear three link to further balance the truck.

All four shocks are identical being remote resevoir Bilstein 12" travel rose jointed shocks. In the front they are mounted to external Safari Gard mounts and in the rear they use custom Rockware shock mounts. There is a perfect balance front to rear and the truck is very predictible off-road and on.

Custom made springs were made to provide equal travel front to rear and are captured at all ends front and rear.

The rear radius arms have been replaced by RoverTym arms that are indestructible.
