This Defender has been my pride and joy since I bought it in 1997. It was bought from a body shop as the original owner hit a pole in the front and crumpled the front right fenders and hood. I replaced all the damaged parts with factory parts and had it repainted green. Always wanted a green defender. There are no problems with the rebuild has it was all superficial and done professionally.
I am a Land Rover trained off-road driving instructor (trained in England) and also spent time as a Land Rover mechanic in Austin. The training and experience has helped me to maintain and modify the Defender to where it is now.
I have maintained the vehicle incredibly well. Changing fluids regularly, reparing any parts that were not correct and upgrading the Defender to the ultimate on and off machine. The Defender was my daily driver and I also used it off-road. I was a sponsored off-road driver for compaines like ARB, Hella, BF Goodrich, Jacobs, Superwinch, Pull Pal, Master Pull and more. They used me to help showcase different products as the Defender is so unique and so capable. It became one of the most photographed Defender 90s in the US.
The Defender is being sold because I have moved to Australia where we drive on the other side of the road. It has been sitting at my brother in laws house for over a year and is rarely driven. It was just serviced at the Land Rover dealership and had a new fuel pump and shifter put in. The truck runs perfectly and is in excellent condition. Even though it has been off-road it has been taken care of and looks great. There are a few scratches and a small dent but not real noticealbe. The seats could stand to be upholstered as the sun has faded the fabric and it has torn.
It is an easy truck to drive on the road and real amazing off the road. There are over $27,000 dollars in upgrades and it only has 84,000 miles on the odometer. Every item required to go off-road in any situation is included. Down to the tire deflator, tire plug kit, shackles and more. It has everything.
