Exterior:

The idea with the setup for the Defender was to make a vehicle that could be driven everyday on or off road and carry all the neccessary gear for two people.

The Safari Gard front bumper has a great approach angle, looks good and fits the options nicely. The aluminum skid plate and differential guards all add further protection (made also by Safari Gard). Custom Bill Burke rock sliders were made for the sides. At the rear I custom made aluminum tread plate to follow the contour of the Defender. The corners are vulnerable and so the lower portion was cut to keep off the rocks. Additionally the rear lights were always an issue so I removed the assemblies and installed flush mounted LED lights that are low profile and very bright. The frame rails are protected by Rockware frame sliders.

The rear bumper has been removed to increase the departure angle and a Land Rover Dixon Bates was fitted for recovery.

Fitted into Safari Gard front bumper is a Superwinch Husky 10 winch with a Master Pull winch rope and locking recovery hook. The winch rope has only been used once and still in very good condition.

Mounted on the bumper are 3 Hella Ralleye 4000 HID lights. These are the racing lights and are the most powerful lights I have ever used.

At the rear a Hella light is mounted to act as a backup light or simply turned on for light when needed.

Mounted under the driver and passenger seats are two Hella Optilux lights for night time rock crawling.

The standard lights have been replaced with IPF headlights that are much brighter.

The factory soft top has been replaced with a Badger Coachworks half cab, drop curtain and rear tonneau cover. An amazing setup that creates a pickup truck type cab and is easily removed. The Defender also comes with a front tonneau cover for the hot days.

On the front wings are the Land Rover tread plate and Rovers North hood scoops for the heater and engine compartment (to even out the look).

To balance the weight of the truck the spare tire was removed and fitted into the back of the truck under the tanneau cover. Over the tire is a custom made rack with a Yakima basket mounted to it. The basket works great for the extra gear and holds the ARB refridgerator and PowerTank as well as the hi-lift jack. All included with the Defender.
