Drivetrain:
Several modifications have been made here to cope with off-road use and to work properly with the new suspension.
Safari Gard CV drive shafts were fitted both front and rear and have since been balanced. The rear axles have been upgraded to 30 spline Safari Gard (Summers Brothers) axles with an ARB air locker. In the front the axles are standard and driven by an ARB locker also.
The gearing has been altered from the standard 3.54 to 4.1. Ashcroft ring and pinions were used.
Fitted to each axle and the transfer box are extended breather pipes for wading through deeper water. They exit by the air cleaner in the engine compartment.
The 30 spline axles are indestructible and have only been off-road twice.
