OSSG stands for Obesity Surgery Support Group. Weight Loss Surgery (WLS) is a major
decision and it's best to be as informed as possible before making such a decision. A great way to learn about WLS is from people who have been there and done it. You can learn details that will really help you along the way. Join a support group either on-line or through your Doctor or hospital.

The OSSG-SA is a support group for people who have had or are considering having WLS in San Antonio, Texas. This is also a support group for people who live in the area but may have had surgery in another location. It doesn't matters who your surgeon is or what type of WLS you have had or plan to have. We communicate via an e-mail list and we get together once or twice a month. We try to meet for dinner before the Doctor sponsored Staple Mates meeting and again at someones house for a less formal gathering. We also do a clothing exchange.

The OSSG-STL is a support group for people who have had or are considering having WLS in the St. Louis, MO area. We are a new group but growing stronger everyday! We also wellcome people who live in the area but may have had surgery in another location. It doesn't matters who your surgeon is or what type of WLS you have had or plan to have. We communicate via an e-mail list and we will try to start getting together every once in a while . We also want to start doing a clothing exchange.
