Born in 2978 Boromir was the eldest son of Denethor II, the steward of Gondor and Findulias. He travelled to Rivendell and became a member of the Fellowship of the Ring. Boromir fought bravely helping the Fellowship escape Moria, but was eventually consumed by the power of the ring and attempted to take it from Frodo. Afterwards he realized what he had done and valiently died trying to save Merry and Pippin from being captured by Orcs.
