This is my guide about Raid Heroes: Total War, in fact, OUR guide. The idea here is to accumulate knowledge to help members of our clan. Any help is welcome, and wanting to contribute, email me: [email protected]. I intend to add more info in some time.

Before the guide itself, a few words about our clan and its war history.

We are a clan of warriors. This means, when the Total War event happens (2-3 times each year), we intend to participate, and all our members should participate, too.

This is how the Total War event works, so you all can prepare to it. There is a 10x10 grid of territories (100 territories), which start neutral, no clans controling them. Each event day (it lasts 10 days), the clan that accumulates more wins on a territorry receives its control. This generates crystals bonus, which you can receive in the event screen, but more important, generates points for the clan. More territories means more points, and these will determine the final ranking in the event. To get control over a territory, like said, we need to have more wins than any other clan. So, the good strategy is to accumulate wins where there are wins already (up to a limit we will discuss in the clan chat), instead of adding 3 wins to each territory (this is useless, and is a waste of resources).

Resources? - you could ask. Yes. You can invade a territory for free. Inside it there are 3 castles (usually neutral castles that are really easy to beat, but once a territory is controlled human players can put their squads to guard territories), and this means you can get 3 wins. Each fight costs an arena pass. And more, after beating these 3 castles, you can leave the territory to start another invasion (you can invade the same territory unlimited times if you wish), but this costs a portal. So, to really play the war, you will need these two things: arena passes and portals. Portals are easy to accumulate, if you don't spend them in your usual day. This because you will can get them from your Magic Tower, daily quests, clan chest, and can get some from free chests of the trader. Arena passes are harder to get, as you will generate 5 for free and nothing more, although you can get some for free from free chests, or to buy them using crystals. The trader will offer to sell them for 15 crystals (in amounts of 1, 5 and 10), and you can buy unlimited passes in the arena, for the cost of 16 crystals (buying 10).

In fact, if you aren't being able to accumulate arena passes, then I suggest you to keep a crystal reserve, like 5K crystals, for to be used when the war comes. In fact, this may seem a cost, but playing the war also pays lots of resources. Each castle raid gives you: (useless gold,) 10 crystals, 10 stars, 5 green gems, 5 yellow gems, 5 red gems, and 10 medals. Even if you are buying arena passes for 16 crystals, you are paying 6, as the win you return 10 crystals, and you still get 10 stars, 5 of each gem type and 10 medals, which is a good trade, AND, you are helping our clan in the war. With the final result, the clan prize could even pay the crystal reserve you have used.

NOTE: it's also advised to invade some territories even if, for any reason, our clan decides do not participate of Total War. This because each invasion gives the player a 30% chance to find a squad of Ogres with a tresure. This treasure may be a rune, or a card you couldn't otherwise get. Previous wars had Druid cards as treasures (now I heard they can be bought spending event coins). Then, cards for the Graveyard trap, and last war added two new traps, Lightning Rod and Swamp. It's possible these these cards will be sold in the future, like Druid cards, but playing the war you have the chance to get them earlier and for free, so why not? All you need are some portals (fighting Ogres does not use an arena pass). Anyway, know this: you can beat a maximum of 5 groups of Ogres during each event day. If you don't like the reward (you can check it before fighting), you can ignore the Ogres and start other invasions (this squad doesn't count for your daily limit if you don't beat it). I always recommend you choose to get cards, unless you are really fresh to the game. In this case, getting one rune may be good. This because a rune may be sold for 2.35b gold, which may be enough for you to uograde your castle buildings. If this amount of gold is not relevant for you, always prefer the cards.

I hope I have helped to clarify how the war works, and how it is not "expensive", contrary to real wars it can be lucrative. Be prepared to help our clan: if you didn't do it already, start accumulating portals and arena passes (or create a crystal reserve).
