Greetings, fellow wizards and witches.
Welcome to the first ever Academy of the Dark Arts. This
evil establishment is for those of you who find that your powerful abilities in
the field of the Dark Arts are not being recognized in most other schools. In
fact, we are the only academy to concentrate fully upon tutoring our subjects in
the Dark Arts, rather than shunning it altogether.
This academy was made possible by the brilliant wizardry of
a select few from the Order of the Deatheaters. It was they who enchanted this
castle so that the Aurors and other white wizards could not find it, and it is
they who remain to teach the students. In honor of these four dark mages, the
students of each year are split up into different houses, each house named after
one of the founding sorcerers. Each of the four had different abilities
themselves, and all had highly varying views of character. As a result, each
sought different virtues in their students, and this is still used as the major
consideration for the division of pupils into their houses.
House Wrathmire is made up of the
most powerful sorcerers, as the headmaster, Lord Mordred Wrathmire, was the mage
responsible for the magical construction of the entire school. His house excels
in the field of necromancy, curses, and most different forms of direct spells.
House Hemlock concentrates on the study of poison and deadly herbs. Wormtail
Hemlock was one of the most accomplished assassins of her day, and her house
still concentrates on those more practical usage of the Black Arts. With her
vast knowledge, Hemlock can subtly poison anyone, no one is safe from her
mastery.
House Ragereaver is the house is the militant wing of the Academy. It is made up of
the strongest, the bravest, and the most powerful warriors, although they are
taught less magic in order to accommodate the many lessons in physical training
and weapon mastery that students of this house must undergo.
House Felblade is perhaps the most mysterious of all. Cordana Felblade herself was by
far the most secretive of the order, preferring to pursue her own deeds, and
meeting with the Four only in times of importance. Her house concentrates on the
more spiritual aspects of the Dark Arts, like astronomy, divination and spirit
walking.
Each house is suited for a certain kind of student, and in order for us to tell
which house you should be in, we ask that you take a test. Place your hands on
the crystal orb below, and it will read your very soul.
The Dark Houses
Once you have taken the test, and received your results, go
to the house you have been instructed to, and enter your password to gain
admission to your common room. Remember, however, that there is no animosity
between houses. All houses are one and the same, and without co-operation
between the members, the school will be for naught. The Four worked together,
back to back, to fight off the Aurors and construct this haven, and so too
should all students work with one another in our war against Hogwarts. Each of
you have abilities, but unless combined with another, they are useless. A
Wrathmire is a powerful adversary from afar, but in close quarters he
is useless, and needs one of his brother Ragereaver to aid him. Always remember
this - the light may be split, but the dark cannot.
The Great Hall
The Great Hall is the center of life in the Academy. Here, you can communicate with all the students in school, not just your housemates. This huge chamber is where you can keep informed about school balls, contests, new places, or even form a Team for the Arena of Death.
The Dark Classes
As this is an academy, the most important part of your experience here should be the learning. Below are the classrooms, each one run by a specific professor, each teaching a specific subject. So get your books and quills ready, and head off to a lesson.
Please remember to attend all lessons and do homework for all lessons. You are getting a balanced education here, not just attending the classes you like.

Academy Anthem
Give me the power to obliterate my enemies,
To lead a life of hate and destruction.
Give me the strength to walk these morbid halls,
So that I may emerge into the darkness, victorious.
The light can be divided,
The dark cannot,
If ever we, the pupils of darkness part, all is for naught.
