I wouldn't. I would engage in combat straight away.
I would wait for the fate that I know will befall them.
I would wait for a few seconds till they turn their backs, and blast them to pieces with one of my spells.
I would wait till their guard is down - days, months, years if needs be, then strike them down in secret using *ahem* alternative methods.
