Welcome, Hemlock. You are a member of the most devious and covert houses in the Academy. Congratulations.

Your Common room is deep in the castle dungeons, in a low ceilinged, cavernous chamber hewn from the very stone foundations of the school. The room resembles a giant laboratory, with fully set up cauldrons bubbling while intricately set up constructions of blown glass weaves amongst one another, dripping a myriad assortment of coloured liquids. Herbs and fungi grow in trays in a corner of the room, giving off a luminous glow.
The only light comes from a number of braziers placed around the room, which burn with a green light and give of intoxicating vapours. Chairs are placed hear and there, some at the work benches, others within sniffing distance of the braziers. The walls are hung with heavy draperies of green and black, your house colours, and a carved bust of Wormtail Hemlock, the house's founder, stands on a dark green, marble pedestle.

There are many things to do here. You may go to the common room message board, and talk to your fellow Hemlocks.
