The Great Hall

Welcome to the Great Hall of Doomspire Castle.

The Great Hall is at the very center of the castle, forming a nexus for the entire domain. It is a huge, cavernous chamber, it's high vaulted ceiling disappearing into darkness overhead, and it's walls barely visible to each other. It is constructed from the same black stone that was used on the rest of the castle, with even the floor paved in huge slabs of it. Skulls and serpents seem to be the dominant theme, with most areas of exposed stone covered in small stylized carvings of the aforementioned icons. The Hall has five walls, and is in the shape of a large pentagram, with the main face making up the north wall. It is accessed from two huge, black, ironbound, oak doors, each set in one of the two walls that make up the south point. Set against the main, north wall is a huge raised dais, carved from slabs of black obsidian. It's glassy surface glints in the light from the hundreds of black candles held in ornate iron candelabras which line the walls. Upon the dais are four thrones, behind which are hoisted four banners. Each banner carries one of the house colors and identifies the occupant of the throne. Wrathmire, with crimson and black, Ragereaver with blue and black, Hemlock with green and black, and Felblade with purple and black, black being the school's color. In front of the thrones is a large, ornate altar, with glowing braziers on either side. Cruelly shaped knives hang from hooks on the sides of the altar, which are heavily encrusted with blood. The rest of the hall is filled with tables, for it is here that the students eat their meals. On special occasions, the tables are cleared magically away, and the space used for such events as the All Hallows Eve Ball.

Here in the Great Hall, you may speak with other members of your school, even those outside your house. You may either chat face to face, or use our message boards. We now have a new message board system and service. It will help us keep track of members and boards.

Notice: Since we have a new board and member system, old and new members will need to register by clicking the link below. The registration process is very simple, and you only need to do it once. Simply choose a username (this doesn't have to be the name you use for Doomspire, that name you can change later) and a password. Finally, click the "I agree" button at the very bottom of the page and follow the rest of the directions. That's it, you're through.

When choosing a username, please do not use any special characters or numbers like the underscore. Just enter your Doomspire name as it is, with the spaces. Thank you. *Note-You will not be sorted until you have registered on the message board.
