Prayer is the heartbeat of the world.
Prayer is communication with god/dess in mind, heart, and soul. Magick is the unseen concert of the universe, each member playing their own instrument yet weaving a symphony together; it involves the ability of the will to effect, initiate, respond, and bring about results. The practice of each is criticized: Prayer can be reduced to passive pleading and deteriorate into abnegation of responsibility. Magick can erupt into superstitious and grandiose delusion. To manifest grace, prayer and magick need each other. There is no hope for the will if prayer's guidance is rejected and will seeks to cause what's denied. Prayer is the cancelled flight without the vehicle of the will. At their best, prayer and magick are a seamless, mystical whole. They speak with the numinous voice of bardic poetry, reflecting engagement with -- not removal from -- divinity. Lore is the collection of custom evocative of this poetic approach to the natural universe, wherein everything has precious being and meaning. Lore echoes the sense of the divine order found in chaos -- divine magick, so to speak. Section Contents
