Daycare Advice
By laeitia31
Does your daycare provider seem
unhappy with her job? Maybe there are some things you can do to make her
job easier. Remember, if your provider is happy, your children will be
happy too, which will make your job alot easier in the evenings.
HELPFUL HINTS TO KEEP YOUR DAYCARE PROVIDER HAPPY!
1. Probably the most important thing that you can do is to pay your
provider, ON TIME, without her asking for the check. Her feelings
are...you don't have to ask your boss for your check and she shouldn't
have to either. She does understand that things are tight with budgets
but she has the same problems and counts on that check so that she can
pay her bills too.
2. Keep in mind that daycare providers work long hours every day. Please
pick your child up on time in the evening. For an added treat, try
picking up your child early every once in a while.
3. If your child is sick, it is best to just stay home with them. If the
provider gets sick you will end up being out of work any way, not to
mention the other parents that need her services.
4. Respect your providers home when you arrive to drop off and pick up
your children. If you know the kids are not supposed to be messing with
something, stop them!
5. Keep in mind that your provider has things to do, either with other
children or her own family, in the evening when you pick up your kids.
Staying for a few minutes to chat is fine, but don't camp out for an
hour.
Those are my helpful hints for now. I will add more hints to keep your
provider happy in the next newsletter. Believe me, if you just do a
couple of these things your provider will be very happy. Do all of the
suggestions, all the time, she will greatly appreciate you and will want
to continue watching your child.
