Crockpot Standing Up Pork Chops
4 Loin pork chops, lean
2 medium Onions, sliced (I only use 1)
1 teaspoon Butter (I use 2 tsp)
Salt & Pepper, to taste
Spices of your choice (I just use season all)
Stand chops in crockpot, thin side down. Sprinkle with salt, pepper
and spices of your choice.
Cover with the onion slices, which have been
separated into rings. Place butter on top, and cook on LOW heat for 6
to 8 hours, or until chops are tender and onions are done.
The result is moist, tender chops with a deep brown color as if
broiled in the oven.

Cottage Noodles
8 oz./250 g Fine egg noodles (I used Penne instead)
2 1/2 quarts/3L boiling water
1 tbsp/15ml cooking oil
2 tsp/10 ml salt
2 cups/500ml cottage cheese
1 cup/250ml sour cream
1/4 cup/60 ml dinally chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced-optional ( I used dehydrated garlic)
1 tsp/5ml Worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp/4ml salt
1/4 tsp/1ml pepper
2 cups/500ml grated medium cheddar cheese
paprika, sprinkle
In large uncovered saucepan cook noodles in boiling water, cooking oil
and first amount of salt until tender but firm, about 4-6 minutes.
Drain. Return noodles to pot.
Mix next 8 ingredients together. Add to pasta. Stir. Turn into 21/2 to
3 quart (3 to 3.5 L) greased casserole.
Sprinkle with paprika. Bake uncovered in 350 F (180C) oven for about
45 minutes. Serves 6-8.

Cheesy Green Bean Casserole
2 (14.5 ounce) cans green beans, drained
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (6 ounce) can French fried onions
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Place green beans and soup in a large microwave-safe bowl. Mix well
and heat in the microwave on HIGH until warm (3 to 5 minutes). Stir in
1/2 cup of cheese and heat mixture for another 2 to 3 minutes.
Transfer green bean mixture to a casserole dish and sprinkle with
French fried onions and remaining cheese.
3. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven until the
cheese melts and the onions just begin to brown.

Carrot Cake With Cream Cheese Icing
1c. white sugar
3eggs
2c. grated carrots
1 1/3 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. flour
1c cooking oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/3 tsp. baking soda
1 1/3 tsp cinnamon
blend sugar and oil and add the eggs one at a time. Sift dry
ingredients together and add gradually to the oil and egg mixture.
Fold in carrots. Bake in a greased 9 by 13 pan at 300 for one hour.
(It will seem like not enough dough for that size pan but it raises
quite a bit)
Cream Cheese Icing
8 oz. cream cheese
2c. icing sugar
2 oz margarine or butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
Beat all ingredients together and spread over cooled cake. Very moist
and tasty.
