| Attendance: If your child will not be in school, please call the office and inform us of your child's absence and reason for it. If your child must leave school early for an appointment, please go to the office and sign him/her out. The secretary will call your child down to the office. This is for your child's safety. Regular attendence without tardiness is key for a successful school experience. |

| Arrival and Dismissal: Student's should arrive no earlier than 8:00 a.m. Student's should head to their classrooms at 8:25am when the first bell rings. School begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. and dismisses at 3:18 p.m. If you are picking up your child, please wait for him/her in the lobby. Please do not come down to the classroom prior to 3:18 p.m. without signing your child out in the office. |
| Art: We will be doing several art projects thoughout the year. Please send an old shirt of Mom or Dad's to use as an art smock. |

| Backpacks: To help your child carry things to and from school, I ask that you provide a backpack for your child. Children need to have a backpack large enough to carry their MOOSE books. (See M for MOOSE book) |
| Birthdays: Birthdays are always a special occasion for everyone. Your child may bring in treats for the class if he/she wishes. If your child is having a birthday party, please do not send in invitations to pass out during class time, especially if everyone is not invited. |
| Book Orders: Every month I will send home a book order form for you and your child to look over. It is a great way to build up your child's home library with fantastic books at reduced prices! Books always make great gifts! By ordering you are also helping me to increase our classroom library. If you choose to order, please make your check out to Scholastic Book Clubs. |

| Calendar: A calendar of our districts events are available in the office. I will send home an classroom and snack/show-n-tell calendar in your child's MOOSE book every month. You can also check our website at www.geocities.com/mrs_rosted for a calendar of events. |
| Computer: We are lucky enough to have 4 computers in our classroom for students to use. We will be using age-appropriate programs during center time. |
| Conferences: We usually have two scheduled conferences during the school year. Occasionally additional conferences are necessary and I will call to schedule one with you. Please feel free to schedule a conference at any time throughout the school year. |
