My School Days

I started my schooling from 'Niveditha School' about a Kilometer away from my house. Studied there from my Kindergarten to 7^th Standard. Lucky to be in a good school like that. By the time I joined school all the 'violent me' peeled off and I was as harmless as a cow!. I was an average student in the class. Managed to get an 'A' in most of the tests and exams. Dad and Mom never felt the need to spend long hours in front of me asking to read this and that as they felt that pestering anybody my age would do no good and not so serious at that point of time. To be frank, I never opened my text book till the eve of an exam! or a test. But some how I used to read and get an 'A' wothy enough for a signature on my markscard!.

We were about 31 in our class right from my first year in school to the end which gave me a chance to have deep and trustworthy friendship. Some of my friends have now become superstars. Vijay R Bharadwaj, Who is playing for India and Karnataka State in the game of Criket was a classmate at this school. His name used to come just before mine in the attendance list and similarly in the seating allotment during tests and Exams. You can guess what would have happened next!. (He was a brilly guy you see!).

One of my friends in our class worth mentioning was Chetan. He was a film actor then and had acted in about 10 films and some TV comercials. He was killed in an accident 4 years back. Srinath, Murali, Anand, Naveen, Ramesh, Sudheendra,Prashanth completed the bandwagon.

I was good at sports from the begining and won many prizes, Running Race my speciality. Sports day was a feast for me and the day before that I never used to sleep, and used to dream of winning some prize in that years sports competition. Dreams used to come true most of the time!. I was good at 'General Knowledge' and was considered the best in that event. Any Quiz Competitions anywhere in Bangalore city, I was there in the team for my school. I did win a Consolation prize in one of the ISKON competitions along with Vijay R Bharadwaj wherein students from 70 schools participated in that massive event.
