Five Hundred Pieces

rock and love song

been so long since ive seen my true love
it doesnt have to happen like this
dont know why you twist me like you do
think I might have to climb the mountain
to get your attention
and expand my translucent blue wings

ive seen the azure sky above me
seen it shine in the sweet downpour
dont know why the skies cry upon me
only know im lonely and blue without

hearing you scream
at the top of your larynx
hearing you shout
in my deaf ear
hearing you whisper
sweetly inside me
wanting to want you to say

im your moonlight, your midnight sunshine
your daytime diamond behind the clouds
the one the only who wants nothing
but to believe without owning a dream

your shapely skin fits you all too well
your tender bottom lip keeps me at bay
not sure why your image contents me
only know I want to listen to you

scream at the top of your larynx
shout in my deaf ear
whisper sweetly inside me

that you're not alone
never alone
wanting you to say we're one in the same
