It is hard to get started, no matter how much better we know we are going to feel.

The only way to break bad habits and this vicious circle is to start to really enjoy good food, a bit of exercise and feeling good.   It is a test of patience, persistence and willpower as much as a physical challenge.

How do you "get going"? 
Taking plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, enough water, moderate exercise, managing stress and finding good company are the ways to better health, but it is often very difficult to make changes.

1. Keep a diary of the good things you do every day - such as exercising or going for a walk, eating properly, talking problems over with friends.   This helps you be realistic & objective.
