I worked as the General Manager of the Lake Theatre in downtown Oak Park, IL., from Sept. 2000 until August of 2001. The theatre is a renovated single screen movie theatre that has gone through many changes.
Currently the theatre has seven screens and plays primarily first run commercial movies. The annual attendance is about 250,000.
The town is very supportive of the theatre and come from surrounding communities to see the Lake.
Most of the equipment at the Lake is state of the art with digital sound.
I oversaw the day to day operations of the theatre and supervised the hourly staff as well as 2 managers.
