So this is what we are going to do with all that lumber I cut...  What do you mean we are NOT using nails?  Screws?  No way, that'll take forever.  Waaaaaa...

After Brandon got done with his tantrum, he got to know Mr. Drill real well.  He also met Mr. Torque and Pressure.  He just missed Mr. Weggie thank goodness, 'cause his shorts are ridin' awful high...
Don't bug me Uncle Mike, I'm workin' here.  I'm hot, I'm sweaty and I just don't know why we cant just use nails.  It would be so much faster.

Easy Grasshopper.  One in rush make mistake.  Nail not made for this.  Follow instruction of wise one and once you take pebble from my hand, then you will have the power to choose between nails and screws.  For now, it's screws "on"; screws "off".
Well, well, well.  Brandon got through it and can sit back and revel at his accomplishment.

He fought me about the spacing and just could not understand why we needed to be so precise in all our measurements.

When you go back and do insulation, and overlay it with siding, you will want to know where studs are.
Oh, I see.  If the flooring is down, we can't see the underlying studs (joists) for the floor.  So you go back over them with a pencil and put the screws along the line so you hit a 2x4 each time.  You're pretty smart Uncle Mike.  Have you been doing this for very long?
Hurry, hurry.  We have a long way to go and many pieces to build, Brandon.

Sure, sure.  Let's see, screw #143, 144, 145.

Man is it hot...
Ms. Samantha decided to come help us.  This was after she learned we were using power tools.  She helped put in many screws and contributed greatly to the project and to helping Brandon stay focused.  Sort of like, if a girl can do it, so can he...
And there we go.  Completion and the happy satisfaction of a job well done.  These two kids are great.  And great little helpers.

At first they weren't too open about their feelings about helping with this project, but as you can see, they are just a couple of smiling chipmunks, eager to sweat some more.
