Perhaps the only way to curb violence, prejudice, and intolerance is to require sensitivity training in our schools, from nursery school through college.

The pessimist has a weak soul.

It is all too easy to throw away the good things, and much too difficult to throw away the bad.

No matter how thoroughly we perceive a situation to be, we can never fully understand it unless or until we are right in the middle of it.

It's always different when you get there.

It's tough for everybody. If you perceive it as tougher for you, it is because you are weaker.

Never try to force others to conform to your opinions.

When there's a choice between you and the other guy, keep a close eye on the other guy.

No one does anything about it for the same reason you don't.

Poverty is not a sex or race issue, but a family issue. A poor family will remain poverty stricken until one member of that family betters themselves and brings the family up.

The problem is, those who reach the top try to forget where they came from.

Always exercise your rights in conjunction with a healthy dose of common sense.

Never trust anyone who can talk faster than you can listen.
