Entropia can be a very fun and exciting game. It can also be frustrating and boring at times. It is especially challenging for those that can not deposit.
You should try it if...
* You enjoy complex games
* You like to meet and chat with people online from around the world
* You have too much money and not much going on in real life ;)
* You have a good head for business
* You like a more challenging MMORPG
* You have the ability to be patient and clever in games
* You understand that this game will require you to spend either some money or lots of time
You should not play if...
* You just like fast paced FPS games, and have no patience for even simple MMORPGs
* You can't deposit, AND you find looking for work in Entropia too boring
* You are a gamblin addict (there are some similarities as hunting is like looking for a jackpot)
* You don't want to invest a lot of time learning or playing a game, but only want quick fun
* You are immature or rude
* You are not good at controling your online spending
* You think you will make a lot of real money playing PE
The game does get easier and more affordable, as your skill increases, you knowlege increases, and as you use your in-game money wisely. If you think of PE as primarily a trading game, you may find that do you quite well, and enjoy it. There have been computer games in the past that were simply about trading.
Once you have a nest egg of money, either from a regular amount that you deposit, or from patient accumulation of money in the game, you would do well to start a trading business on the street or at auction. This is the only profession that does not depend upon your avatar's skill. But it does depend upon your real skill. When you are making some money in trading with your savings, then you can start to skim some off the profit to go have fun hunting, mining, or crafting. But don't blow all your money on this... or you are back to being broke again. Keep a reserve available for trading, any you can go farther without having to deposit. If you are able to deposit, it is really recommended that you give yourself a monthly budget, and stick to it. If you choose not to follow the advice here, you could easily spend $30 per day on Project Entropia.
Remember, you won't make money from hunting, mining, or crafting, but you may make money by trading, if you study the economy and are patient.
As your skills increase, your hunting and other activites will become more economical.
