So, you have decided to give PE a try. Good!
You are so blessed to have found such a Mentor as Fade. I will save you much time and frustration, if you follow my instructions.
Now here are some missions for you my fine disciples:
1. Go for a Long Walk
Walk the length, breadth, and interior of Calypso collecting TPs (by stepping in them to register). This will help you see the landscape, and meet many of the interesting creatures. Don't worry if some of those Mobs eat you, as this is actually a great way to find new towns and outposts. Once you have registered with a TP, you don't need to walk as much in the game, but can instead just teleport from town to town. There are 32 TPs for you to find. Having all your TPs will aid your greatly as you look for jobs, and as you seek to trade your goods.
2. RTM
If you have not done so already, READ THE MANUAL for the game. It is found on the startup screen.
3. Go to Entropia Pioneers
This is the best site for the game. It is full of tutorials, price lists, and answers to questions. Register with the site as you will find the ability to post messeges very useful in the future. If you have the ability, print out many of the tutorials, and keep a hardcopy of them handy as you play the game. Also, print out the latest price list on a regular basis, if you do a lot of trading. Finally, they have many links to other great sites that can help you survive in Entropia. This is also a great site to learn about utilities for the game (see item #7)
4. Find a Mentor
If you dont' have one yet, I highly suggest it. You can learn more about them on the Mentor page.
5. Make Friends
Get to know people. You will find that most players are really nice and helpful people. Having this network of contacts on your friends list will help you to get advice when you need it, and find trading partners and jobs as well.
6. Join a Society
You don't have to, but they are so helpful, so why not. It is a way to get lots of friends in the game quickly. You can apply for a society at a Society Terminal, or just ask people about theirs. If you are a man over 35 or a woman over 30, Consider my society... The Old Alphas.
7. Download Utilities
You really should get NeoMap, it is great. GrabClipSave is good for screen captures. There are also many other wonderfully useful utilities, all of which can be located via Entropia Pioneers
8. Establish Your Income Plan
If you deposit, decide on a firm monthly amount. If you can not deposit, start studying how you can survive in the game without an external source of money. Learn More on my Playing Without Depositing Page.
