Carlos is my second child. He was born on March 12, 1990, also in Imus, Cavite. Unlike his elder sister, Charlie, his color is very much darker than hers. However, just the same, he is also intelligent like his sister. He is only a bit naughty. He is very funny and at the age of six, can make you laugh at his pleasure. Carlo was not so much attached to me when he was a child. He allegedly forgot the way I look when we talked over the phone. Nevertheless, he said he is also missing me. After a chat with him through the Internet where we had seen each other via webcam, he told me that he now knew how I look, and that he will never again forget my face. Then again, he seldom communicates with me like his sister does. Maybe because he is concentrating on his studies. One more thing I like about Carlo is that he seemed to be very protective of his
sister. Every time I tell him to always protect his sister, he replies that he is doing the best that he can in order to do so. I believe him, because he is my son. Like him, I am very protective, and I will not also let anything bad to happen to their younger sisters, Irisjen and Kate Danielle.
Admittedly, I don't have many things to talk about Carlo. He was this little child before that do his own thing. Though he is funny and can just crack out an immediate joke, now he seemed to have become a loner. Even during our last two meetings, he seldom talked. He only talks when ask and politely answer what is being asked of him. I'm feeling he is still puzzled why we were separated for ten years, when he was just six years old that time. I could not also just talk about it, while he is not asking anything pertinent to what happened. However, I see this glow in his eyes every time we look at each other. Oh, I just tell myself, he is still young and not yet ready to face the facts head on. We have a long way to go. I know one day; we will sit together again, ready to talk out things, for the better.
