Hello! I'm Michael Fitzgerald, the author of EnglishContrasted. I'm American, born and raised in Maryland, currently studying for my Masters degree in Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) at the University of Melbourne, Australia. I'm very interested in languages and study them as a hobby. To date, I've studied Spanish, French (in France), Dutch (in Belgium), German (in Germany), and Polish (in Poland) but am always looking around for more! I worked in Warsaw, Poland as an English teacher primarily at Archibald English Language School, but also Bell International.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business Management from the University of Maryland in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany where I lived and studied for four years.
