Episode 2: Attack of the Clones
 | The second of the prequels has arrived! We get to see more of Senator Palpatine's rise to power, and more of Anakin's transition to the dark side. Fantastic effects as usual, combined with a deeper darker plot make this an excellent episode in the star wars saga. It has set the scene for an incredible Episode 3, which is likely to be even darker, as Anakin becomes even more powerful, and begins his journey to the dark side. |
So, what is Episode 2 all about? Here are some key points of the movie:
- Senator Palpatine is given emergency power to make a clone army.
- Anakin falls in love with Padme, which is forbidden.
- Anakin shows signs of turning to the darkside, such as the Tusken incident.
- The Jedi are falling in number, and are less powerful than before.
- Count Dooku, a renegade jedi is serving Darth Sidious. Both are powerful.
- The clone army is of Jango Fett, father to Boba.
It is an episode with few positive points to focus on, as most things are going in favour of emperor to be, Palpatine. However, from a movie watcher's point of view, its fantastic, and here are some of my favourite moments:
- Jango Fett chasing Obi-wan through the asteroid belt.
- Yoda in a lightsaber duel with Count Dooku.
- Obi-wan leaping onto the Bounty Hunter's droid in "pursuit".
