The Academy of Sparkly Magic is a prestigious school in Plum City (in the rich quarters of St. Plummings) and is the school which the housemates of Puu Projekt attend. It is located on 10000 acres of spacious muddy swampland. The school year runs from the end of summer to the beginning of spring (roughly 6-7months), and follows a 4-year track similar to a traditional American public high school. However, in order to pass from one grade to the next, students must pass a difficult final exam, which can include anything from drawing a map of the universe to baking cheesecake.
Yuki and Tsurugi are in grade 9, because they�re younger. Karen, Chelsea, and Rika are all in grade 10. Both Chelsea and Rika should be in grade 2 (because they�re stupid), but they blackmailed the school�s administrators by showing their wives pictures of their trip to Bermuda, which involved a vat of vanilla pudding, a herd of buffalo, 27 bananas, and a squeegee. (These photos are very incriminating.) Stacie and Alfredo are both in grade 11. Shiro, being an evil genius, graduated when he was ten years old, and is now a teacher at the Academy to pay for his various world-conquering inventions and porn. However, he still failed all his English-related classes because he can�t spell worth shit and still has to take those, in addition to electives and Gym, so he really doesn�t do any teaching. Yukei was dubbed �too freakishly smart� and kicked out of school on her first day.
Now, the Academy of Sparkly Magic is a PRIVATE school, and thus ridiculously expensive. Rika, Yuki, and Stacie can all afford to go because their family is filthy stinking rich. Tsurugi had to sell his soul to Rika to pay for it. Karen�s family had to sell her little brother. Chelsea�s tuition is being paid by her cat. The teachers have yet to notice Alfredo in class, so he hasn�t had to pay for school yet. Despite this, it is still a very shitty school, and all the students would probably be better off being taught by the dyslexic blind sewer rats that reside in the cafeteria.
