Describe yourself as a basketball player in under 30 words:
….patchy!
Driving player who looks to either score around the key, dish off, or draw
the foul…. or trip over his own feet and turn it over.
How long have you been playing basketball?
First
started playing in year 7 when I lived in Mildura for 6 months.
How did you find out about, and eventually come to joining the Hulkamaniacs?
Through
Phil S and Mark (former Hulkamaniacs player). Mark asked me if I was interested
in filling in after the “suspension incident”. Played on and off for a while
then was officially drafted last Summer season.
What's been your favourite game and/or career highlight as a "Hulkamaniac"?
Making the finals for the first time last season. A mission that seemed all but impossible given the kickings the Hulks had been given in the past.
From a team point of view, do any wins stand out?
When
we beat the Wolverines for the first time early on last season. They still
had the “big angry man” and we snuck home. He got fouled out with a minute
to go and refused to shake hands. Victory never tasted so sweet!
Your most disappointing Hulkamaniacs moment?
You mean apart from some of the refereeing we’ve had to endure? Getting bundled out of the finals was a downer. I just plain sucked that night and it was very disappointing.
Do you play any other sports?
No,
too busy frying stuff. I used to play footy and tennis as a young buck,
but haven’t played in a comp for 5 years or so now.
Your favourite NBA team and/or player?
I
don’t see enough of it now apart from the scores to have a favourite team,
so have to do the clichéd thing and say the Bulls before MJ retired the
first time. Think I watched the 3-Peat video about 1000 times!
If you could draft one player from any league to suit up with the Hulkamaniacs, who would it be?
Kevin
Garnett. Winning games without having to shoot, drive or rebound. Sounds
good to me!
