Q&A with Phil S
Describe yourself as a basketball player in under 30 words:
I
love playing a good game of basketball. I enjoy
working hard at trying to get the ball and working together as a team.
How long have you been playing basketball?
I
have played since 1993. Somewhere in there I
had a four year break, but at other times I have
played for two or three teams at the same time.
How did you find out about, and eventually come to joining the Hulkamaniacs?
I
believe I had mentioned to Luke that I might be interested in playing and
he approached me to play the first year the team was started up.
What's been your favourite game and/or career highlight as a "Hulkamaniac"?
The
best games are always the clean hard games where we work hard as a team
and come out on top. I recall one particular
game were we played with four players against a team we are normally competitive
with and came out on top. We really had to work
hard together to achieve a win.
Your most disappointing Hulkamaniacs moment?
Once we start to have a messy game with to many fouls, this always disappoints me. I prefer to get on an play the game. However my biggest disappointment will always be my knee giving out in one particular game and I had to miss a couple of months before I could play again. Having to sit out is never fun, especially if the team needs the extra player to boost the team.
Do you play any other sports?
Not
currently.
Your favourite NBA team and/or player?
My
favourite NBA team has always been the Bulls. My
favourite player of all time is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon and Charles Barkley have been three
players I have also admired and consequently my originally following for
the Bulls (Michael Jordan).
