Q&A with Beau

Describe yourself as a basketball player in under 30 words:

Good rebounder and decent outside scorer. Lack the ability to create my own shot or take people off the dribble, but generally a good spot up shooter and passer. Need to be pro-active to be involved.

How long have you been playing basketball?

Ever since I can remember.

How did you find out about, and eventually come to joining the Hulkamaniacs?

Possibly through Adam, my work-mate at the time.

What's been your favourite game and/or career highlight as a "Hulkamaniac"?

Career highlight was the 24 points (including 6 3pt fg’s and 17 consecutive points) dropped on the division leading Magic Men. A good effort for me as I've never been a big offensive threat, still hoping to match that at some stage though.

From a team point of view, do any wins stand out?

I mainly remember our court 1 games against with the Aztec gunners. It was always a fasted paced, high intensity match up and it always felt so good to beat them as they were a very similar team to what we are. They stick out because we always stepped up to our best when we played them.

Your most disappointing Hulkamaniacs moment?

Losing in the first round last season. We had the skills and the team to win it all and we lost concentration and focus.

Do you play any other sports?

Not currently, but I take a big interest in sports and would consider playing other if the opportunity came up.

Your favourite NBA team and/or player?

Grew up in the 90’s so naturally I'm a Chicago Bulls / Michael Jordan fan. Since MJ’s retirement though I still keep an avid interest in the league.

If you could draft one player from any league to suit up with the Hulkamaniacs, who would it be?

If the NBA is an option it would be  Amare Stoudemire we need a big man in the middle, but Amare would also suit our fast up and down style of play.
