John Knox was a leader of the Protestant Reformation and founder of Presbyterianism in Scotland. This is his home, off the Royal Mile. The inscription reads, "Love God above all and your neighbor as yourself..." See the link for his story: John Knox story This was a cool spot for me to see.
The Scottish Parliament was recently re-established in 1998. It has authority to self-govern various areas. See the link for additional information: Scottish Parliament
Photos of a cemetary near the bottom of the Edinburgh castle hill.
National Gallery of Scotland The gallery buildings are being renovated. I was impressed with its art collection and the actual interior of the building itself. A very impressive museum. Among their prized works includes paintings by Titian.
Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art I did not have enough time to visit the collection. I shot some exterior photos.
We had about 6 hours to get a power-tour of Edinburgh. Unfortunately, I misread the date of our departure back to Dublin. We could have had an additional day. This is a great city I would definitely revisit. I would like to attend the Edinburgh and Fringe festivals.
