Scotland Itinerary
March 18:
   Edinburgh
   Perth
   Aberfeldy
We left early morning the day after St. Paddy's.  We took a hopper flight to Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.  We were delayed at the airport for a couple of hours due to problems with fog.  We took a Ryan Air 40-minute flight into Edinburgh.  I do NOT recommend Ryan Air.  It's like a more manic, chaotic version of Southwest Airlines.  No es bueno - es malo!  After arriving at the airport, we picked up the rental car and headed onto Aberfeldy for a day of R&R.

Our time share had guests from the nearby pond.  IT'S MY SITE... I CAN MAKE CHEESY COMMENTS & POST CHEESY PICS.  Enjoy...

I originally purchased the air fare for this trip back in October, prior to my layoff from work.  The fare was one of those Internet deals where the ticket could not be changed for a fee or even used at a later time.  So, I decided to go ahead with the trip - though I carefully  watched my pennies the entire time.  My parents belong to a timeshare organization called RCI.  We were able to use a bonus week in Scotland, since the time of year was considered "off season". Aberfeldy is about an hour or so north of Edinburgh.  It is home to the Dewar's whisky distillery.  It is near the beginning of the Scottish Highlands area.
Again, this is a case where the picture does not do justice for the scenery.  The mountain is the background is actually 5 + miles away.  Again, you can see the sunny, warm weather we had on the trip.  There was only 1 day in which we had rain and even then it lasted for about an hour and the sunny weather soon returned.

Uist House - the time share in Aberfeldy, Scotland.  It is located on the Monness Country Club outside Aberfeldy.  The area is a golfer's paradise - courses all over the area.  Unfortunately, I don't play golf.  Sorry.
