Well if April showers bring May flowers, my allergies should be in full bloom for the next month.  But who knows, they way the weather has been the passed year it could be snowing tomorrow and kill all those plants.   Be it global warming, a natural earth cycle trend,  the beginning of armageddon, alien climate modification, or someother crazy cause,   the weather has been screwy this year.  There is something to be said for consistency.  The seasons no longer fit into their typical ranges.  When I was young Summer was hot, Winter was cold, Spring and Fall were mild with few extreme fluctuations.  Summer is the only one that will most likely stay completely true.  Of course Maryland weather has always been askew.  If you believe variety is the spice of life just live in Maryland.

Lot of upcoming events in the next couple weeks.   Got my court date on Thursday.  Everyone cross your fingers.   Eric's birthday is coming up May 4th.  If it turns out anything like Tom's birthday week then two of my best friends will have sworn off booze for the rest of their lives.  May 5th of course is cinco de mayo.  This one is 05-05-05 so all of you should get your buts out to the bars by 5:55 pm to do a shot of tequila.  May 11th is my buddy Mark's anniversary.   May 14th is my cousin Meghan's wedding.  Be the first wedding in quite sometime that I am going to stag.  There is probably plenty more but I just can't remember all the things I have to do.  It is nice keeping busy.

I started trying out my green thumb the other day.  Of course I picked an easiest plant to grow, mint.  This stuff spreads like wild fire.  I am hoping to have a batch ready for the Kentucky Derby (which I think is May 10th) to have fresh mint for my mint juleps.  I'll keep growing it to use in my mojito drinks.  Everyone should have a signature drink and I think this is going to be mine for awhile.  I mean not too many bars have fresh mint right off the plant.  It will add that little extra touch that I personally always look for in a bar.

Not too much else new for me in the past month.  Just the basics.  Work, bar, kung fu, church.  My cousin CT had a baby girl the other day.  It was a long labor for his wife an the baby swallowed some ambiotic fluid during the delivery.  Hopefully everything turns out ok with that.  Your prayers would be appreciated.  Oh yeah my new laptop with media center has been blaring out tunes when I am bartending.  It is the coolest little toy.  Of course the remote broke on  me and good ole HP can't get a replacement until 5-10-05.  Pricks.  But the system still works nice.

I see they are getting the lunch order together so I am going to log before I get left out.

God bless all who read these logs,
